I purchased the couch on Feb 5th 2022 as is because it had a small tear on the back corner that had been sewn. Nothing else was wrong with it when I purchased it. On Feb 11th I noticed it was starting to bubble up on the one cushion so I contacted the owners father by phone and told him and he said send pictures, I said ok and did so. He then messages me and accused me of cleaning the couch with something I shouldn't have. I explained I hadn't cleaned it because I only had it 6 days. So I then messaged the Bonton Marketplace place page and she also said I sprayed it with something and to send her pictures of what I had sprayed it with. I again explained I hadn't sprayed anything on it. She said to send her pictures and she would contact manufacturer. I asked for manufacturer information several times with no response so I waited a few days and messaged again and found out I was blocked from the page. I then called the store and told her my name on Feb 16th and she said she had no recollection of me and hung up on me. I then had a friend call and say she was calling for me and she hung up on her as well. She then called the owners father and he started yelling and being nasty and said he wasn't doing anything for me. Then 15 minutes later the father calls me and apologized and said to go on this southern motions website and pick out a new couch and they would give me 719$ Towards the purchase to compensate for the couch I have. He told me it would take weeks and weeks to receive and that the leather couches are just not made like they used to be. I thanked him and hung up. At 7:00pm on February 16th the father(Tom M********) calls me back screaming at me calling me very bad words saying he is not going to help me that he doesn't care about my couch and he would see me in court! They say there tags on it when I bought it but I don't know if they took them off before we loaded it or they blew off on the way home. I believe the tag said it was a ***** couch.
