This business has done auto repair for us in the past. We left our ****** truck there in Oct. of 2020 and they were going to take the engine apart and rebuild it & put it back in. It's the truck my kids drive to school & practice etc. We have been told over & over that it will be finished in a few weeks, probably next week, this week etc. Still it is there. At the end of this month, I will have paid insurance for it for a year while it sits. I went to the owner at the end of Aug. I said, if it's too big a job or you don't have time, tell me, & I will have a junkyard pick it up but I need to get personal items out so I can put the funds for repair into a different vehicle. She assured me it would be done by end of Sept. We are way past that and just keep getting the run-around. My husband has gone by in the last 2 weeks. The engine seems to be in the truck but it isn't being prioritized and finished. I feel that this situation has gone beyond reasonable in time.Business response

We are working to get the motor put back into the truck, I am down a mechanic and have fleet of school buses and school vehicles that have been the main priority. The motor was being rebuilt by another individual which his time frame was not in our hands. Getting parts have not been the easiest or the quickest but we have not intentionally not worked on her vehicle. My mechanic works 6-7 days a week as it is. We are hoping that this project will be done by this week. We want the job finished as well. The motor is in and it was started today, it just needs to get all the other things buttoned up.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:When my husband went to the business on Sept. 27th the engine had already been rebuilt and was in the truck. And the man he spoke to said that he had rebuilt it and couldn't understand why it wasn't hooked back up yet but he wasn't in charge. I had been told by the owner before the end of August, in an in-person conversation at the business, that it would be completed before or by the end of September. At this point even with putting the buses ahead as a priority, knowing we have not had the vehicle for over a year and have been reliable customers, it would seem that our vehicle would be given even small amounts of time regularly in order to get it done and stay reliable.
