in June 22 we contacted Buzz about an iron filter he was advertising for well water, with a 3 year guarantee of no iron in the water. so we had the system installed for $3200. August of 23 we had iron in the water, staining clothes in washing machine etc.. contacted **** he said to download the app for the filter and that will fix it with a firmware update. ok. On Sept 10, 2023 contacted **** again that we still have iron in the water. Finally on October 21st he came out to look at the faulty system. He said the head on the tank was faulty and needed a new one. On Dec 12, 2023 head came out and switched the head out. Jan 17th 2024.... no water pressure. his diagnosis was a blocked valve on pressure valve and changed out the pressure valve. July 3, ************************************************ the water. July 29 sent pictures. Aug 6th 2024, he said he would mail me chlorine pills to drop in the well. Today is 8/26/24. never recieved anything or heard anything from Buzz. We have Ferric iron in the well water, when it is exposed to oxygen it turns brown and particles fall out of the water. Chlorine is an oxidizer which releases oxygen. so basically per Buzz, drop chlorine in the well to oxidize the water, so the iron settles in the well. A bandaid at best. eventually the iron will clog the well so he can make more money from a well clean out. good business practice on his end, create another problem to make more money down the road. I have messages to back up everything I have written here, and screenshots of his 3 year guarantee and 7 year no maintenance claim. Due to lack of response and no faith in Buzz, i have removed his system since it does nothing. we have 12 ppm of iron straight from the well, after his failed system we have 10 ppm iron in the water. he is a fraud, and is prompt and ambitious until he gets paid. then he is a ghost. basic middle school science will tell you about ferric iron and chlorine.

I contacted this business to look at my well and provide an estimate on repair costs. I found his ad on Facebook and he advertised that estimates were free. He (Buzz and an unnamed helper with one leg) arrived at my home on 03/16/2023 at about noon and asked what I wanted. I confirmed just an estimate on repairs to make it funcion. He tore my well head off and pulled out a bunch of pipe and placed them in my yard. Quoted me a price of $2,000 for repairs, and then forced me to pay him $150 service call fee. After telling him it was just an estimate and not a repair call, he refused to leave without payment. He forced me to pay him through venmo before he left my well head and 60ft of pipes in my yard. The well itself was also left exposed and uncovered. I attempted to reach him through Facebook on 3/17, but the conversation ended with him blocking me. I left a review on his business Facebook page, but he made no effort to resolve the issue. He actually blocked me there also so I can't even communicate through the public review feature. I will be filing a law suite against him/his business this week. I have photos of him on site, and the aftermath if needed. I also have screen shots if all conversations. It's clear he is just scamming people. At minimum I'm hoping for a refund. But now my well genuinely needs attention as a result of his visit, so I'd like his financial aid in addressing that as well.

The customer wanted an estimate but in order for me to give the estimate I had to know how deep the well is. Because the customer did not know what the depth was. The “Free Estimate” is for me to come look and give a price. It does not include me having to pull the pump and pipe. I charged the customer a very minimum fee of 150. I did not force anyone to do anything. I told him how much it was and he did say I thought it was free and I replied with no I had to pull your pipe and pump so therefore it’s a service call of 150 any reasonable person would understand that you cant expect someone to work on your stuff for free. And I’m about to file charges for harassment at this point for everything that’s been sent and said to me.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The response from the business owner further admits guilt. I called him for a "free estimate" and he elected to do work that requires payment without my consent. If he can't estimate a job for free, then he can't advertise for free estimates. At MINIMUM, he needs to be more transparent before performing work that requires payment. I contacted the business owner by phone on 03/24/2023 to obtain information for a civil suit, and he asked for a few days to return my money.  If I don't hear from him on or before 03/29/2023, I intend to move forward with the civil suit.

The purpose of this response is to ensure this matter does not get closed before resolution, and today is my deadline to respond.

      Regards,
