      I booked a hotel stay from 4/5-4/7 for myself and another family. The family arrived later then myself and my family and I gave them their room key and went to sleep. The next morning I woke up to a text that started that the family I booked foe had left due to bugs being in their room, so the room never got utilized. I then found a used eye contact on the bathroom floor in my room along with ants crawling all through one of the beds that my family had slept in. When I complained, the guy at the front desk went back to my room and brought the ants out in his had. He said rudely "is this what you ate talking about?" I replied yes and he then stated "these are not bugs, these are aunts!" He stated that it was for chicken crumbs on the floor of the room, which is not possible since my daughter ate chicken 2 minutes before reporting the information, and why would they be in the bed if my daughter did not eat in the bed. I reported this to the booking company I used, they spoke with someone from the hotel and agreed to only refund me for the night we did not stay but proceeded to charge me for one night for a room that was utilized with aunts in the bed and the other room that was never even utilized because the family left right away. I don't find it fair that I am paying for a room that was never used due to a bug issue and a room that was used with bugs in it.

      I am writing about case Id # ********. I am attaching proof of refund for the guest in the amount of $184.14 for guest ****** *****. I also have attached our pest control information as we do have the property sprayed every month and it was just done in the week prior to this guest arrival. We do our best to keep ants out of the building. If you need anything else please let me know how I can help.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      I know that I have received a refund for the canceled nights and I thank you for that however, I do not find it fair that I still paid for one night for 2 rooms when only one of the rooms were utilized. The other room was vacant immediately due to finding the bugs or ants in the bathroom upon their arrival, so they left and stayed at another one of the local hotels. What I believe would be somewhat fair would be that I only pay for the utilized room and time that we utilized it for.

      BOTH ROOMS FOR BOTH NIGHTS HAVE BEEN FULLY REFUNDED. SHE HAS A ZERO CHARGE FROM US AT THE SUPER 8 ALL MONEY WAS RETUNED TO THE CARD SHE USED TO BOOK WITH. THATS WHY I ADDED THE ROOM FOLILOS SO THAT IT WAS KNOWN THAT THE MOINEY WAS REFUNDED.

      11/25/22 236.43 For the amount that we paid for 2 nights was absolutely not worth it. We will never stay again. When we got there we had to wait 10-15 for someone to come to the counter to check us in. No coffee in the room and 1 bottle of shampoo. The carpet had burn marks in it and the plaster in the bathroom was falling off. The microwave was old and not in great shape. They didn’t waste anytime to charge my card or we would have left. I send a complaint to the hotel since there was never anyone around.
