We contracted with this business in March of 2023 to have our deck power washed and painted. The contract stated that the job would be completed between May 15 and June 15. When I did not hear from Art by June 15, I tried without success to contact him by email, text and phone. He never responded to any communication until I had the credit card reverse the downpayment of $1000. The minute he lost the $1000, he contacted me and said that he would be there on July 10 to power wash the deck. His son did show up that day and power washed the deck. *** asked that I give his son a check for the down payment that I reversed once he was done. In my stupidity, I did give him the check. July 10th was the last I saw or heard from anyone. I have repeatedly tried contacting him without success. Yesterday, my husband appealed to his integrity, but apparently he has none as we have not heard from him. I would not ever do business with this company again. I'm not sure how he even has a contractor's license. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. We have not had the use of our deck since July 10 as we had to move all of our furniture in to the driveway.

My wife and I signed a contract with *** in March 2022. He told us we needed to put our initial deposit down to be put “put on the schedule” and verbally gave us a completion date of last week or June, first week of July 2022. Months passed without hearing from him. Once our dates for work were upon us I decided to reach out and at first he didn’t respond. The week he was supposed to be working on the deck he texts back that he is on vacation. Over the course of the next few months we only hear responses such as “I’ll give you the schedule after this weekend”. Again in September he we get a response that he is on another vacation. Finally in October/November, he eventually replies and he says he will start demo on our deck stating he will be starting the job in a few weeks. They come out to start demo and he knocks on the door stating he is done demo. We look outside and over 50% of the deck is still standing. He says the job will cost more and he needs another deposit and a new contract. He came back out for the demo of the deck portion of the project in November 2022 (still have part of the demo left). My wife and I have suffered through this and we just wanted this nightmare to end so with the new found communication he was providing and the demo being worked on, we agreed to his new contract with him after he stated that he will have materials delivered in the next two weeks. He reached out the week before Christmas 2022 and said the materials will be delivered either this week or next. Weeks went by and nothing. It is now February 2023 and nothing has been done. He doesn’t respond to us. We have paid this man over $8000 and there is no sign of this deck ever getting built.

A quick follow up as to the status of this project.  I believe all the scheduling issues have been addressed.  Please be advised that the project is very near completion and should be completed within the next day or so.

Hired All Decked Out LLC in May 2022 to construct a new deck. Paid the deposit same month. Art was very responsive until he received the deposit. Since then there’s been excuse after excuse. He claimed he was out of town twice, had Covid, truck totaled in a accident & that’s when he actually returned our texts & calls. It took a full 4 months to get a permit and that was after I asked for my deposit back. We’ve had the permit since September and nothing. He hasn’t returned our calls or texts since. He’s unresponsive, disorganized, and has zero follow through. I don’t believe we’ll ever get this deck built. This is the worst service and experience I’ve ever had in my entire life.

In July we put a down payment on a deck. The contractor told us it would be Late September/early October for installation. We have tried to reach All Decked Out numerous times via phone call, text, email, and social media. The time I did reach them on November 1st, they said they were waiting on their supplier and would contact us within two weeks. It is now December 3rd and we have not heard from them at all even with multiple attempts to reach them. While we fully understand supply chain and labor struggles, we are receiving zero communication even after multiple attempts at contacting them through email, phone, and texts .

After explaining the material shortages and lack of obtaining materials in a timely manner, this has effected every client schedule form 2021.

We try our best to obtain supplies from popular larger sources, but still no luck.

It seems though now that we are starting to see the beginnings of actual anticipated shipping dates, rather than delayed or backordered.

This is good news for us as a contractor and even more so for our clients who have been very patiently waiting to get their projects completed.

Rest assured that as soon as materials are on site at our supplier warehouses, we will make arrangement to get them delivered and provide a install schedule.

I am confident that once the materials are available, ** and ************ will be very happy clients.

      Good morning:

Once again, here is my weekly response to yet another update for *** ****.  The original complaint erroneous.  *** **** pretends to be a contractor, and has “doubts” about shortages and associated delays.  He is entitled to his beliefs, even if pretending to be a contractor, he seems to be clueless.

You see, *** **** believes he can simply complain to every entity known to mankind, feeling that this will somehow speed the process.

We have agreed to process a full refund.  Not good enough.

At this time, with the aid of our attorney, we are considering filing a defamation suit against *******.  I hope he realizes that as per the contract, he pays for the attorneys fees OF ALL PARTIES INVOLVED.  This includes any fees associated with arbitration through the BBB, which we requested, and have not heard anything back.

Additionally, the PA Attorney Generals Office is now handling this matter in full.  In our best interest, they have informed *** **** to no longer have any contact me, as we will pursue the matter legally if he does.  The harassment has got to end.  As of todays phone call I received from that office, *** **** MUST send them the original Notarized release.  They will then send it to me for verification and processing.  Assuming all is in order, we will process the refund, and send it to the Attorney Generals Office.  They will in turn send it to *** ****.

An unnecessary extended time line, only brought on by *** ****.

Please mark this case in a manner in which the contractor completely denies any wrong doing, YET has still agreed to offer a full refund.

It will be handled from this point on by the Attorney Generals Office.  Should you have any questions or concerns, or would like to verify, you can call the Consumer Affairs Department.  They will be more than happy to advise.  There seems to be reason whatsoever for me to have any communication from *** **** even if through his new pen pal, the BBB.

Thank you again for bringing this to my attention.  You can tell once again my displeasure to have to constantly reply to false claims.

      Kind regards:

In March, 2021, I signed a contract with All Decked Out. The business was supposed to restore my entire deck, including the gazebo but has only done the bare minimum. The contract was signed and the deposit was paid in March, 2021 and since then, he has only come back to work on the deck twice. The point of contact has not been easy to reach. I have to call him multiple times to get updates on the status of the project and what his plans are in regards to getting everything done. I will go weeks without hearing from him. It is currently September 21, 2021, I last reached out on September 10, 2021. I have not heard from him since September 1, 2021. As of right now, the project is several months behind.

Please be advised that we are currently working with the client to get her here completed project as quickly as we possibly can.

When we start any project, especially with covid related supply chain shortages, we go through great lengths to inform the clients before hand that we cannot guarantee availability of materials and we can only rely on our vendors to obtain the supplies as fast as possible/  The last 20 months have indeed been very challenging to us, the contractors, and the clients.  In the end though, we cannot install materials that are not on site.

We also realize that while most clients understand the dilemma  we are in, there are a few who might not recognize the severity of the supply chain shortages.  We do our best to convey timelines given to us from the vendors, but often the further delays only seem to add salt to the injury.

We simply cannot be responsible for delays that are beyond our control, including but not limited to supply availability.

We are sorry to be in this situation for all involved, and we are doing our best to satisfy clients as soon as materials arrive.

I believe we are again on tract and this clients materials should be delivered to her home sometime next week, at which time we will complete her install.  At this point in time, there is nothing we can do to expedite this matter, but simply wait for the materials to be delivered.

We take all complaints no matter the subject very seriously.  We will use this criticism as a learned tool for the future to make us a better organization.
