On 9/25/22 contact signed to purchase a puppy. $500 deposit sent for "Fall 2022" puppy. Told puppy would be ready for p/u or delivery the week of 12/25/22. 12/28/32 I received pictures of 2 puppies to chose from. Transport set up for 1/19. 1/20/23 contacted the breeder who adviser her husband had not left w/ the puppy due to his sister passing & he would be leaving the 19th after 1pm. We would be the second puppy delivery on the route. 1/22 I messaged the breeder again & was advised delivery should be between 9 and 11 am the next morning. 11:38 CST. 1/23/23 I reached out & was told ETA was 6 hrs & 14 mins as of 10am EST. 6:58 pm I check in again w/ a response at 7:14 pm that the husband had car trouble & their daughter was in the ER from a skiing accident. 7:50 pm I am told pup will arrive 1/25/23 between 930-1030 am. 1/25/23 I reached out for an ETA again at 1121 am. Reply received at 1130 & told unable to provide an update as they were at the funeral. Advised transport had been delayed 3 times due to fault of their own and I would hear back between 1-130pm. 1:07 I notified the breeder that I hired a transport company that could pick up Friday. At 4:06 I was asked who the transport company was. No reply after that until the transporter called the breeder. At which time the breeder became hostile that I had given out her number. Which I had not. Her number is posted on ******** and BBB. The breeder text the transport asking what they wanted. The transporter told the breeder that he was with the KY state police and wanted to know why she stopped responding regarding transport of the puppy. 1/26/23 I reach out to the breeder and stated she can use my transport company, provide a refund or I would higher a lawyer. Breeder advised contact cancelled. Refund to be sent via certified mail. 2/10/23 no refund. 2/11 told refund via US postal. Told if it had not arrived by 2/14 let breeder know and it would be cancelled and set via ******. As of 2/20 no refund received.
