Dear BBB . Poltrock painting, responding back into a complaint of **** ********, in fall 2021 I signed with his brother ****, on painting A property for his brother ****, we had an agreement of 2500.00 down, after I completed all the prep work, cleaning an soft wash of the house, his brother **** gave me a check for 1000.00 because he said his brother **** sent three checks, dated them all for the same dates,, told me once I was half way, he would just give me the other check for 500 because he knew my reputation, an I also completed many jobs in the neighborhood an was well known, I run a 5 star painting business, unfortunately help comes an goes, we are a small company, 2021 late fall, we came to an agreement, to do it in summer of 2022,, his brother **** was supposed to contact me early winter, middle winter, for a new contract, I’ve had my doors closed for the last 1.5 years, not expecting any new jobs, till we are down to zero, coming out of the pandemic, push us back significantly, long story short, **** never came forward with a new contract, **** called me June 1st stating his brother had passed away, I told ****, I would feel comfortable with the last payment to start, because I NEVER meet you, or discuss the job before, me an his brother ****, new what was going on, on June 1st I told ****, no worry’s, I’ll get over there within two or three weeks, I’ll hold your word on the last payment, unfortunately june 10th though the 17th I had 3 to 4 days of rain, I told ****, we are a small business an the job will take 3 to 4 days in a roll, I stated to ****, I did not start yet, but I’d like to give you a update, I sent **** a photo of all the supplies, an told him let’s see how next week forecast looks like, **** immediately responded,  do not go on my property I will call the cops, I continue to get threats, and very disturbing messages, towards my business and also towards my family, keep in mind I already completed all the prep work, and the company invested in all the supplies, told **** the company at poltrock Painting!! will either send a check out July 1st or my team would like to fight the matter, the team at poltrock painting do not think a full refund is necessary, we are a small business that is hurting from a pandemic, that already spent time on the property and money on supplies, after reading all the messages and disturbing text from ****, I felt that in the best interest of this dispute ,was just to leave it alone, there was never a start date, or a finish date, I always answered the phone, and I always stayed in touch as a good businessman would, I got a phone call June 1, and I turn my schedule completely around to handle the property for ****, after working many nights and long hours, and getting everything in order to get this project started, then I was told do not go on the property he will call the cops, i’ve never canceled !!!!and I always wanted to move forward with accommodate ****, I do not think I should have to pay consequences for a decision I did not make, I run a five star painting business, yes companies run behind, I stated that I would do my best to get there by June 17 unfortunately I fell a little short, if I don’t set dates what am I living for, keep in mind exterior painting, the weather Has to be in our territory and in our favor, Sorry I did not respond sooner ,I was on vacation since July 8 till the 22nd, I feel threatened, I feel disgusted, and I feel like I was just taken advantage of, I am a small business that use job to job to support my family, I have two days spent on the job, with Clean perfection prep work, and I also have supplies bought, for **** to tell me not to go on the property, he is calling the cops, is insanity, it’s totally disgusting, Again I never dealt with his brother I always did business with his brother **** ,his brother had passed away and I did not hear the news till June 1, I put **** right at the top of my schedule after I heard the news , with cleaning up two projects at the same time as soon as I was finished ,**** was Up Next, when I was ready, and I was given **** updates I was told do not go onto the property, in this dispute **** states that his brother **** was extremely sick and I took a vantage of his brother, **** was never sick **** passed away from Covid  19 during the winter time, please keep in mind if his brother was so sick and was taken advantage of, why would his brother **** send him checks for $4000 and have **** run the job for him, so if **** knew his brother was extremely ill, why would he have his brother **** run the job, **** was in perfect health and we had a great relationship,  if **** was extremely sick why would **** have his brother **** run the project?? If his brother **** was extremely sick, why would **** put his brother in a position to handle finances?? on the job, if I had a brother that was extremely sick, I wouldn’t leave them in charge of anything!! again **** was perfectly healthy that’s why **** hired him to run the job, again I always stayed in touch, I always wanted to accommodate **** in the highest standards possible, as soon as I was threatened and my family was threatened I had to leave the situation alone, and walked the other way till paperwork came in the mail, we run a five star painting business and we accommodate every client, as we are hired to do so, thanks for your concern in this matter looking forward to hearing back from you guys, after the last few messages I received from ****, I do not no longer feel comfortable on that property and I will not go forward with doing his project, again I have two days spent on the job and I also have material and supplies bought, I did not cancel the job **** canceled the job, I absolutely don’t think a full refund is even close to fairness, there was never a completion date or a start date, and all I wanted to do was accommodate ****, until I was told not to go on the property that he called the cops and my family was threatened, this is a small business and we take our jobs very seriously, I have a family to feed, and after spending 48 hours, and agreeing to wait a few more months, it is not fair that when I was just about ready to start I was told not to go on the property, I do not think a full refund is fair but I am considered to hear what you guys consider and I’m looking forward to hearing back from you guys, thanks again in this matter,
