8/12/22 My son and I test drove 2008 *** ******** he got into an accident. Damaged hood, bumper, headlight. Larry (dealership owner) contacted me and told me the damages were $850. I spoke with him numerous times about the car and getting it fixed and decided to do it at a local body shop, which he assured me the car was safe to drive. 8/19/22 I purchased the car and Mark (salesman) told me the car's hood was bungeed down, safe to drive home, and hood striker in the cup holder. Driving on 422 W home the hood flew open hitting the windshield, blinding my sight (on a highway), and denting in the roof. I veered off the road into the middle median and had the car towed home. The next day I emailed Larry and he said he would fix this with receipt and extend the warranty a year. After Mutiple phone calls and him telling me he would fix the car it is still sitting in my driveway leaking transmission fluid, leaving my son without a car, and myself missing work. Larry submitted a claim to his insurance. My insurance determined my son's accident to be close to $4000 (not the $850 that Larry told me numerous times). Currently his insurance is stating my son's accident totaled the car and it isn't their claim. If this is the case a licensed dealership owner sold me a totaled unsafe car and allowed me to drive it off the dealership getting into a serious accident, and I could have potential been injured or killed or killing and injuring another driver. My last conversation with Larry, he said he wanted this to be fixed as soon as possible because my son has been without a car for almost a month! I emailed and sent him a certified letter requesting him to pay me for the car ($8162) by 9/9/22 and he hasn't responded or paid me. He deemed the car to be safe, while his insurance and my insurance said it was not and he never should have sold me the car let alone drive it on the road home. To whom it may concern
This matter is in the hands of the insurance companies, ours {Main street motors) and *** *******. Vehicle ruled a" total". Tax money and tag monies due back to Ms. Pursell.
I wanted to mail out a ck to the amount, but insurance agent said wait. ??????? We sent out a ck for $500 deductible to ** *******. I want to get this resolved. !!!!!!!!!!
