J.P.Roofing installed the roof and gutter system on my home at *** ********* ******* ********** ** ***** on November 23 and 24 of 2021. By February 2022, I noticed that the upper gutter was not draining, but overflowing down over the front porch roof. After many calls to the company and several visits by their contractors,a crew was finally sent to fix the problem- that was in September of 2022. However, that solution failed to work. Later in 2023 we discovered when we had a man clean our gutters, that the gutter was still not draining properly. He also reported that there was damage to the shingles by the gutter hangers being installed incorrectly. I then contacted Owens Corning and described the problem. They instructed me to have a full roof inspection by one of their Platinum Preferred Contractors. On December 8,2023, I had that inspection done by ***** ****** *******. That report confirmed that the installation was not done properly.Business response

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]In addition I am requesting a copy of 5 year workmanship guarantee. Also at the suggestion of the inspector the use of oval eaves tubes rather than round tubes. I am also concerned about the use of existing gutters vs replacements.
Clarity concerning “replace double aluminum white fascia per linear foot “in estimate. Will there be a warranty on the gutter guards.
Has the error concerning the Owens Corning warranty been resolved. It was not registered as Preferred as listed in my invoice, but standard.

Have had an ongoing problem with a leak from a roof that JP Roofing installed about 2 1/2 years ago. They have been out multiple times but the leak is still occurring. The owner has promised us to replace the roof in the affected area since early 2023. They say they are coming out but it never happens. This has been going on since early spring 2023. Have made multiple phone calls and messages to have this completed and just get ignored. Have a warranty that seems to mean very little. Tried to resolve this issue with the owner, but unfortunately that has not been successful.Business response

In March of this year, I requested an estimate on replacing gutters on my back porch and installing gutters and downspouts on my front porch. Although the work was to take place approx 4 weeks later, by August I had not heard anything despite numerous calls to the office. I then left a voice message asking if I should find someone else, and that next morning they were at my house. However, rather than doing what I asked and had an estimate for, they did a much more extensive job with no details on how much it was going to cost me. ( I asked repeatedly). I was completely overwhelmed, but had no choice but allow the work to continue because they had already removed much of the porches roofing. The work on the front porch was not what I had originally asked for. And, they next day when my head felt a little clearer, I realized that the front porch roof had no downspouts. An overnight rain left evidence of water run off all around the front and side of the porch. The gutter job was meant to protect my foundation, but I am no better off. Photos and phone calls the following day were unanswered. I'm left feeling dumbstruck, terrified of how much this is going to cost me, and aware that the original problem I sought to remedy remains.Initial Complaint

On 02/10/2022,I paid jp Roofing and metal Building 17000 dollars for a new roof on my home at *** ******* *** ********** ** *****. As of today 07/20/2022, I am still waiting for the company to complete the project of installation of my roof. I saw the shingles blowing in the wind so I called and reported to the company and I was told that someone will be there as soon as possible. That was in May of 2022. So I kept on seeing the same thing I am a senior citizen and I didn't want to do it but I got a ladder and I climbed up on the roof to examine jp Roofing work and it was much worse than I expected.Business response

JP Roofing installed a new roof plus gutters and downspouts. 1. The roofers failed to put a boot cap around the waste pipe (code violation). 2. They also routed one of the downspouts to my neighbors home. The heavy rains were too much for their downspout causing a repair needed on the neighbors side. My neighbor has repeatedly complained. I've called no less than 16 times. Each time they promise someone will be here today or over the weekend and no one ever shows up. They even did a different neighbors roof after mine, and couldn't come back to my place. I do not know how to get these guys to fix these two things for a job that was otherwise very well done.Business response

6/1/20 JP Roofing installed siding. 12/27/20 Had large amount of ice in new gutter. Asked him about heating cables. Said he would do the work. Never did. 2/27/21 Sent him pic of wire that his crew covered up with siding. Asked him to figure out a way to get the wire so I can work with it. He never did. 6/21/21 Again had issues with same gutter that was frozen in Dec. There is an enormous amount of water that overflows from the gutter during heavy rains. He never even acknowledged that communication (text that I sent.) 8/11/21 Again I sent him video of gutter overflowing during heavy rain. He did text and call this time. Said he was going to schedule someone to come out. He continues to tell me he'll be out, but he still hasn't come.Business response

The gutters were installed around June of 2020, and there was no issues until recently when *** ****** called us.
JP Roofing did tell her they would be out the week of August 15, 2021 to resolve the issue, due to the rainy weather we were delayed.
JP Roofing was on site August 24, 2021 at 2 pm. The Gutter crew discovered that the issue was a sponge like object blocking the downspout,
which was removed and now there is no problem with the downspout. We are working to resolve the issue with the wire, *** ****** is contactingan electrician to reroute the elelctrical wire. JP Roofing will then replace the 8" x 10" piece of metal.

Yes, gutters and siding were installed June 2020.
Gutter issue - reached out to JP Roofing 6/21/21. Reached out to him again 8/1/21. Was finally addressed and resolved 8/26/21 - 2 months after initially reported.
Wire issue - reached out to JP Roofing 2/27/21. Stopped at his business a couple of times and discussed. Reached out to him again 8/11/21. Was finally addressed and resolved 8/31/21 - 6 months after initially reported.
All of the crew members that did the work were extremely nice and made sure I was satisfied with resolution. The problem the whole time was just getting the owner to send someone out to do the work.
Thank you very much for helping me to get resolution. MUCH appreciated!

JP Roofing installed a new roof and gutters in September 2020. The gutters are leaking between the gutter and the house. We have called JP many times over the past several months. They sent a representative to look at the gutters. He said they were not installed properly and need to be replaced. JP has promised several times that they would be fixed, but they have not shown up yet and they do not return our phone calls. This has been going on since June 2021, and now we are being completely ignored.Business response

JP Roofing found the issue was not the roof installation but was the window seal on the lower left frame that was deteriorating and causing water to enter and get behind the metal flashing.
JP Roofing scraped, cleaned and re-caulked (sealed) the inside of the window frame for the client
JP Roofing also hired a Plaster repair company to help resolve any inside issues.
