Work started 3/23 with a $3,000 down payment given to start the job. Also be advised i provided all materials for the job, this was a labor only job. Contractor only worked for 4-5 Hours, and didn't show up to work everyday. I just asked for him to have better communication so i would know when he was coming and not coming, but no change. Contractor asked for additional funds $800, i provided the contractor $1,000 on 3/31. After every installment payment contractor wouldn't show the next 1-2 days. Contractor stated we reached the half way point, could we get the additional $500.00 i provided $600 on 4/12 and contractor failed to provide written documentation of 3rd installment for a total of 4,600. Contractor didn't show for 3 days, i reached out to contractor and he stated, he thought i should find another contractor to finish the work this was on 4/18. Per estimate contractor stated work would be conducted and take roughly 3-4 weeks. We are on the start of week 5 and he states he is half way through. Looking for contractor to finish the job, or provided a billing adjustment. I also have another contractor coming in, stating that the electrical is not up to code, and should be corrected, and i can provide bill of service for this correction, due to fire hazard or risk of arcing in the outlets or wall mounts. I find this very unprofessional as i was just inquiring about his whereabouts and he comes of stand offish and states good luck with future endeavors. Contractor also left all trash and waste that he agreed to dispose of at completion of the job. Contractor was also given old doors from the property, would like doors returned if he isn't going to complete the job, and make it right.
