Klick Lewis had a promotion in August 2021 making it seem as if you could win 5,000. A young salesman test drove a car with us and asked about running my credit. I said, "No, not a hard pull, I want to buy a home and don't want my score to fall. " He replied and I quote, "No, this would only be a soft pull." We asked the price of car and he continually evaded the question. We were asked to sit & answer questions about our car. Again we asked him to tell us the amount of the car!!! He said he'd get the finance manager to speak us. That man comes out and says how much can you afford to pay a month? I gave him a number and he says I can only get the price to $450 a month. I said, "HOW MUCH IS THE CAR?" "36,500". I said, "I'm not in the market to buy that expensive of a car." Meanwhile, the first salesman calmly asked for my driver's license. I gave it to him thinking he needed a copy because I had test drove a car. Meanwhile, my husband looked up the car on ***** Blue book and it was listed as 22,000. We questioned the salesman about this but he had no answers. The finance guy came out again a says, "How about $400?" I said I was done, stood up and demanded my license. Continuing to get the hard sell, I walked to the finance manager's office and demanded my license and we left. Later that month I received the first of 15 letters from creditors stating that my credit had been pulled. I logged onto my credit report and saw 15 hard pulls. I never gave them permission for this! I demanded that they show me my signature giving my permission, I reported them to the Attorney General's Office and I requested they correct this with the three bureaus. They have not made this right and in fact blamed me in their response to the AG stating that I in my complaint admit that I gave them permission. I absolutely did the opposite by stating they only had permission for a soft pull. This small town business did not care about my dream of buying a house, only their bottom line.Business response

We have record that ******************************* visited our dealership on 8-14-2021. She test drove a vehicle of interest. In *********************'s letter to the attorney general, she states that she discussed the option of pulling her credit. Obtaining a consumer credit report requires that we collect certain pertinent customer information. The information necessary to run credit is, the clients name, address, social security, and birth date which was obtained from *******************. We have a letter of "Notice of Adverse Action" that was generated after obtaining a credit report from one of the three major credit bureaus. I bought a 2018 ***** in march 2021. I was told the vehicle was in 1 accident and was just damage to the bumper. I had to take the car to the ***** dealer about a month later for problems i was having with the car. After being in the shop for about a month they said there was damage that looked like it was from towing incorrectly. I didnt pay no mind because the problem was fixed. Last week i went to trade the car in but the value of the trade is low because i found out it was in two accidents and was towed from one of them. Information was witheld or lied about. I cant trade in the car because of the negative equity.Business response

My wife purchased a vehicle on Aug 10th around 8pm at night. During the deal with noted some I Owe You that the dealership needed to correct. Mount and balance of all tires and new floor mats. The next daying during day light hours we noted how the car needed to be detailed and go the AC was making a weird noise that shouldn't be happening. I called and requested for them to address these issues. The salesman said that's my problem and I would have to pay for that. To which I promptly replied with I will just bring the vehicle back. Another individual got in the phone and said lets not do that lets make things right. Said they would call us back on Monday to get the car scheduled for all the things noted above. In the mean time the airbag light has come on and within a 200 miles the check engine is now on. As if the check engine light was reset. How odd. Addressed all concerns again and received run around as if this is my fault.Customer response

It hasn't been completely resolved. I am still waiting on them to give me a date and time for pets to be installed. I am also waiting for a date and time for them to look over the Air Condition issue which isn't resolved either. Honestly this has been the worst car purchase ever for myself. I don't see how a vehicle makes it through their inspections then within 200 miles I have a bunch of dash lights on, literally seems as in they reset the computer to get rid of the car. I cant prove that but if a check engine light is reset and the issue isn't fixed the light comes back on within 200 miles. I got if I had the car and put 2000 miles on it and that happened, that's my issue, but to purchase a car and have issues within 200 miles is extremely odd.
Long story short not nothing is 100% resolved.
I filed a previous complaint, #********, and still no resolution. The dealership replaced some parts that they said were the issue however I still have an airbag light on. I have been trying to resolve this issue for 5 months now. I am to the point where I will not purchase or encourage another person to purchase a car there. Their service is horrible and they don't stand by their word and their service. I would like for the to just fix the car so I don't have to deal with it anymore and fix it correctly.
