The Office made new prescription lenses incorrectly. The front desk person, not knowledgeable at all took my progressive prescription and placed an order, on MAy 16th. No measurements were taken nor double-checked my prescription for progressive lenses. A week later, on May 25th, I picked up my glasses and within the next 2 days, I realized that the lenses are incorrect and that I can't wear them. I paid $330.00 for lenses that I cant use. I spoke with the office on May 31st and insisted that I go back to my ophthalmologist. On June 1st I saw my ophthalmologist who examined the new lenses and my vision again and concluded that the lenses were made incorrectly, they were not centered correctly. I returned to Dr. Michels office 2 days later and requested to redo the lenses. The optometrist and the same front desk were there as well at Dr. Michels. Dr. Michels didn't come out of his office to address the issue. In the office, the optometrist, Stacy was very hostile with me, she yelled, and defended herself blaming the prescription, she started to take between pupils' measurements. She failed to respond to my questions about why she was not present when I placed an order, why measurements were not taken at that time as well why she was not in the office and delegated that responsibility to the less educated co-worker. Why concerns about the prescription were not raised at the time of placing the order. She continued to yell something irrelevant. The insurance has been notified. This office should be shut down. Their qualifications are questionable, their professionalism doesn't exist. Total incompetence was observed and experienced. The prescription is correct, they lack qualifications and knowledge. The optometry board and association will be notified about this vexing experience. The office should refund my money, $330.00 in full and apologize for wasting my time and for their unprofessional behavior.
