In July 2022, we hired Damien M**** and Maximum Construction and Renovation to complete a remodel on our RV after water damage caused by a malfunctioning water tank. Damien wrote quotes to our insurance agency, who issued two checks with a grand total of $12,171.22. At this time (October 2022), we have paid Damien $10,999 and work is not completed, and the work that was initiated needs re-done due to error. Damien was to remove and re-install flooring, remove and re-install cabinets, fix water damage to the walls in the master bedroom, paint, and tile the shower. After eight weeks, the only work that has been completed is total demolition, the flooring (which needs re-done, due to the proper supports and insulation not being installed), a kitchen counter installed (that has a chip in the butcher block), and half of a TV stand/bar built. We have requested receipts for materials, as the work completed and the materials provided does not equal the $10,000+ that we have already given Damien. Damien also requested the balance ($1,171.22) despite the work being no where near finished. Old materials (cabinets, bathroom vanity, bathtub) have been removed without permission and not replaced. Damien quoted Geico for drywall in the master bedroom, which we found out afterwards drywall is not used in campers. Damien also had plans to tile our shower, which we found out afterwards is not appropriate for an RV. We believe Damien was unequipped to handle this job. On September 19th and September 25th I visited the camper and found he had not been there. I texted him on September 25th to demand that the camper be completed by October 7th. On September 29th, no further work had been completed despite the assurance that it would be. As of today, October 4, 2022, Damien has not returned.
