I wish I had read the reviews of this company before I hired them. I gave two stars for the cement work. That looks good on there than that there are horrible. Destroyed my backyard. Broke my carport, cracked my vinyl fence, cracked my brick steps and blended up chain fences. And didnt put anything back correctly just horrible. I shouldve known better when it took them four weeks to start the project, that they were going to rush and do anything. This cost close to $,5,000 and now more to repair everything they destroyed. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! Run I wish I did.Review from Lora W

Hallmark of New Jersey, Inc is fraudulent in following agreements in signed contracts. I live in CA and entered a contract on rebuilding a foundation and corner walls that had collapsed in a house my son purchased next to were my son lives. Hallmark of New Jersey built NO foundation and the walls were built crooked unable to support the upper two levels of the building. I filed a complaint with the Delaware County municipal court. The jury verdict found Hallmark of New Jersey had breached the contract and damages were rewarded for just the materials to build a foundation under one wall. Although the verdict was right for such a level of deceit and potential damage to the structural integrity of the other floors of the building, the material damage awarded did not remedy the problem. The walls that Hallmark of New Jersey built had to be torn down, so that a foundation which was agreed to, in the contract could be built 36 inches below the walls to the frost line. This cost was not accounted for in the courts damages. I have spent $24,295 for faulty work that ended in a breach of contract in court and was awarded $2500. What I learned is that Hallmark of NJ over charged for their faulty work, should not be trusted for completing contractual agreements. Hallmark of New Jersey suggest you use their loan companies to finance the work. They are off the hook because you will own to the loan company and they will have received their money whether the work is done right or not. I would steer away from doing business with this company no matter how good their adds or on line presence is. There are shysters in every way. They took advantage of me because during COVID when the contract was agreed, he know I was 3000 miles away and not able to see the fraudulent work he had done. His structural engineer Mr Clamsey was willing to lie for him under oath. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.Review from Anita B.

Anita B. I hired this company for a complete bathroom renovation in 8/2022. The job was started 10/3/2022. It was supposed to be all new walls, floors, glass shower, tiles on floors and walls, recessed lights etc. The price was $20,000 which I paid. In addition to $1,200 to stay in hotel for 15 days while work was being done. Things were moving along until the sub-contractor (Ryan)doing the work and said he couldn’t move forward because Hallmark has not paid him for the supplies and work he had completed. Hallmark says he was. I the customer was put in the middle of this mess. Al ( the owner) did send another employee (Ali) to finish. However, Ali did some of the required work but it’s still not completed. The floor is unstable( tiles need to be grouted a 2nd time to prevent movement). A tile has now cracked, grout is is coming up. Just poor workmanship. I was unable to get enclosed glass shower because there is a window over tub. They removed the access panel in the closet and threw away. The ad in the Metro paper states $500.00 gift card if you spent $5,000. Didn’t get that either and I spent $20,000. They ( Al, Ali) no longer respond to phone calls/ texts. Even Frank(the salesman who sold me on all of this). They are now just passing the buck. Poor workmanship, poor customer service. I would never recommend this company to anyone. You live and learn the hard way sometimes.Review from Corena B.

The owner Al is a shoddy businessman. I got work done in May 2018 and he got his siding guy to install my deck stairs, Anderson sliding deck door and pvc fence for deck. His guy used bathroom caulk to seal my deck door that caused water to enter my home and damage 2 ceilings. The stairs I wasn’t able to use 3 months later for my Grandson’s birthday party. The stairs are still not sturdy because his guy cut the posts too low. He did install a fence free of charge because of my aggravation and that guy had to secure the steps the best as he could. The only reason he did so was because he was a heavy guy and he didn’t want to fall. As of today, the top of the fence is raised because deck nails weren’t used and pressure treated wood wasn’t used. So, I called Al yesterday about these issues that still exist and he went onto stating,”Your warranty with me is up”. So, he really thinks that it’s ok to leave these issues uncorrected. He kept saying,”I’ve done a lot for you”. No, he tried to correct all the incorrect work. Well, when he wrote out the new contract that included the work fence Aug of 2020 is good for 2 years, so he’s still on the hook. This old man does not know how to speak to people who complain about his guy’s work. I stopped dealing with him and left it with my Wife. I have plenty of pictures and videos to satisfy what I’m saying. I will say my siding I have not had an issue with. But, his siding guy Roman has his own company who did my co-workers siding as well. So, yes this may just be his expertise. Beware!!!!! You’ve been warned!Review from Leatrice S

Beware!!!!! I was seeking some siding and ran across this company in the Metro newspaper. The representative came out and I was sold. Boy, was I sold. My work was completed in May 2018 and couldn’t use the deck stairs for my Grandson’s birthday in Oct. Why? Because Al informed me that the guy he sent is a siding guy and not a stairs guy. So, why would you send him. The guy was a siding guy, but used bathroom caulk to seal my siding which allowed water to enter through the ceiling like Niagara Falls. My pvc fence on the deck is not in the concrete, so the fence is wobbly. Because of my aggravation Al decided to install a fence free of charge. Well, they didn’t use deck nails or pressure treated wood. Now, mind you a had a fence, but his guy installed the pvc for deck stairs and didn’t attach my fence. Also, the fence installer has to reinforce my deck stairs because he stated they were installed incorrectly. Now, this is his worker telling me this. I called Al today Dec 2, 2021 and all Al kept speaking about is what he gave me. Al gave me nothing. Al tried to repair the shoddy work his guy/guys did. The fence is horrible. The contract that Al wrote out for me in 2020 is basically a new contract and it’s good for 2 yrs so he’s still on the hook. Beware!!!! I had to eventually stop speaking with him and he started dealing with my Wife because he’s disrespectful and don’t know how to talk to people and I wasn’t having it.
