The units stop working and then no one from the company will help you, so you are left with a $700 piece of junk.

I am a backer of this product from Kickstarter. I was sympathetic to the delays, but like most of us backers never received their product and was ghosted by the company. They took our money and scammed us.

Do not buy from this company, at least not the KapsulAir units. We had two out of three die within months of purchase. I had to report them to the BBB, the FTC, and the Attorney General to be able to return them. They took them back and received them Sept 7th of 2022, but they will not refund me. I’m being told by ShopPay that I still have to make payments on them even though we don’t have them in our possession anymore and I can’t get Kapsul to communicate with us. Google reviews, get into a Facebook KapsulAir group, I wish we had before we purchased anything from this sham of a company.

Purchased in 2020 died before a year, contacted company through email (only way) and sent me a replacement, requested I send the old one back and I had to pay some of that. Fast forward new one stopped working exactly a year later, and contacted company to let them no twice and no one has gotten back to me.

Received my Kapsul last Summer from the original Kickstarter. It works better than I expected, was easy to install, and functions perfectly. I'm impressed that with the pandemic and supply chain shortages and ports being overwhelmed that they were able to still ship. These are hard times and this was a delight to receive.

We have been searching for a way to cool upstairs bedrooms in our 1949 house. The house unit just can't get it cool up there. The portable unit we tried didn't work very well & was really loud. After MUCH research, we decided to try the Kapsul W5. It did not disappoint! The unit cools extremely well & is very quiet. The installation wasn't as simple as the videos showed, but it wasn't bad. We love how little the unit impacts the window & the room as far as space & aesthetics go. We are big fans!!!!! Customer service is extremely prompt & helpful answering questions.

Kapsul started this project on Kickstarter as "Noria" then changed their name due to copyright issues which isn't a good sign. Now they are sending out miniscule updates promising unit deliveries that will take decades to fulfill. But at the same time, blaming supply chain issues that cannot be the entire reason for these unreasonable delays. A large number of recent postings to the campaign indicate this is not one or two disgruntled customers but a growing number with each week. The company "Kapsul" seems to have engaged in a bait and switch by promising an impossible delivery date of a product and sending out units to backers one at a time. This entire thing is largely vaporware and should be avoided by all customers. I resorted to a ductless cooling system and very satisfied with the product unlike this which is composed of nothing but lies.

Where to begin…. I was an original backer of Kapsul, helping to fund the development of a transformational window air conditioner through Kickstarter’s crowd funding platform. Over the past four years, the team at Kapsul has endured many challenges including finding a reliable manufacturing partner, regulatory compliance issues, disgruntled backers, the loss of a key investor, supply chain issues due to Covid, inflation and even a disparaging article from some dolt at Philly Mag. Was the product delayed? Yes. Was it worth the wait? An emphatic, table pounding YES. This is the Apple iPhone of window AC’s. An incredibly innovative and elegant product that is easy to install, beautiful to look at, technologically brilliant, sturdily built, and very quiet. You set your desired temperature and the unit does the rest. The thermostat is so sensitive that it could take your temperature. The cooling speeds are automatic – the fan blows high when cooling the room initially and then blows low to keep the temperature constant. One dial controls the unit’s operation. The type of simplicity and intuitiveness that only comes from world class engineers and designers. I’m proud to be a Kapsul owner and proud of Kapsul’s team for persevering through many difficult challenges to deliver such an incredible product. Buy it. You won’t be disappointed.
