My wife and I are tenants since May 31, 2022. Since our move in date to today, we have never missed a rental payment and/or water/electric bill and any complaint notices from management. Over the past year, I had made several complaints on the lack of maintenance on the common areas and sidewalk belonging to the building. Most recently, I filed a complaint with the PA Office of Consumer Affairs pertaining to their unfair overbilled electric billing practices, which many other tenants complaint. Yesterday, I received a call to inform me that our lease will expire in May 31 and we had the option to renew for a year or month to month. Today, I got a call telling us it was a mistake and that they will not renew our lease. I ask why was the reason, and all they said was we decided not to renew it. I feel that this decision is a retaliation towards us for our continuous vocal complaints on the poor maintenance. We are in the process to move, but we were hoping to enter into a month to month (2 months).. This is unfair to us as tenants, that this company will terminate our lease without providing any reason.Business response

Our offices have recently received a complaint pertaining to ************************ rental (complaint ID in subject)************************ lease was not renewed, but the reasoning is inaccurate. There is no reasoning for the decision nor do we have to provide a reason as referenced in the lease agreement that was signed by ***********************. **********' term ends 5/31/2023 we reached out to him to inform him of the nonrenewal and it seems that he is unhappy with the decision.We will speak to the resident and try to find a resolution.Kind regards,M&M ManagementCustomer response
