If you want the worst experience then this is the place to go. My first visit here to the ER (6 1/2 hour wait not one person called in that time) I was being treated for gerd since I told them a year ago a hospital said I MAY have gerd due to my symptoms but was never officially diagnosed. I asked could it be my gallbladder so that is what made them check my gallbladder. Doctor said I have stones but it is not inflamed/infected so he doesn't think that is what's causing my pain and sent me home with a prescription for pepcid (medication for gerd). Not even 24 hours I was back in sever pain, sweating, throwing up and damn near passing out and again treated for gerd. Treated horrible by the ER staff except the one nurse I can't remember her name I want to say Carissa. I am not sure what made them flip but a surgeon came in and decided I needed to have my gallbladder removed. After my surgery my surgeon told me my gallbladder was really inflamed/infected which is odd since it apparently wasn't according to the doctor the night before. I had one fantastic nurse since I've been admitted and moved to a room (Gina) after that I have been treated like a piece of trash. I try to treat people as kindly as I can since that is how I want to be treated. Always thanking them for all of their help etc but my second nurse on the 5th floor (Adaline) decided she didn't like me then proceeded to talk poorly of me to the next shift to which a coworker of hers told me. She seemed like she didn't want to actually do her job and is just here for a paycheck. It was on my chart I could have morphine every THREE hours as needed but after Gina I was given just Tylenol even though I was telling them I was in pain and they'd give it to me every 6 hours. I spent the night crying with hardly any sleep at all. Not because of the pain but because of how I was being treated. So after Adaline I made it a point not to call the nurses station for my nurse & just waited for her to show up & check on me.
