    PECO shut off my electric while account was on hold waiting for $8,000 payment from home owners assistance program. Someone went in PECO system and overrode the hold and shut my power off. I was in the hospital for one week after getting sick because I could not use my home concentrator. I have no family here in Philadelphia to stay with. My electric has been off I ask that my formal complaint at least be answered. A hard copy was sent via *** ** since 7-3-23.

    I'm almost ready to buy solar panels and a generator just to be done with PECO... I have had a terrible experience since moving. First, I confirmed 3 times that the power was set to switch over to my account and there would be no interruption. Then that evening, power goes out. Thankfully the woman on emergency services was able to get it turned back on for me. Then apparently a residential/personal use barn is considered a commercial account, so they shut power of to my building because I don't have an EIN number (I'm not a business...). I was told I'd have to apply for an EIN number, which would take awhile, and sent all of this paperwork to basically start a business so I could have a barn/garage in my back yard... I called again several times and received a different story each time, until someone pulled some strings and got the power turned on there for me, thankfully. After that I had been unable to access any of my accounts online. I had to call several times, being told a different thing each time, until eventually I could access my accounts, using 2 different logins. I have not been able to download any bills online, so cannot view bill detail on ANY of my accounts for the 6 weeks I have lived here. I also was never e-mailed or mailed any bills, yet it shows amounts due on their website, one marked as past due and pay immediately. I am told its their system and even those working there cannot open and view the bill details-yet somehow we are expected to pay them?Just don't buy a house in **** territory, that's my recommendation.
