On April 16, 2022, I signed a contract with this company to have my daughters Quinceanera. At that time a deposit of $475 was provided. On February 7th, I sent a message on ********* letting them know that I had sent them an email. I was hoping to pay off the balance and make sure timing was correct and add 2 extra decoration hours. To this I received a heart on the message and that was all. On the 8th, I again followed up saying hey did you get my email and text and no response from them ever since. I then called from my office phone and immediately someone answered and I said is this the Devon marquise and they immediately said we are not available and hung up on me before I can say anything. I sent another round of messages and DMs and no response. On friday, the 17th I had my husband call no answer. He gets a return call from ******* ******, who pretended she wasn't the owner and told him she didn't know that she would forward the message to ****** the assistant. Her name came out on the caller id so there's no way she can deny it's her. But I tried to reach out to ****** as well and no response. On Monday, I went by the business and noticed that their logo is no longer in the front and there's a sign that states ** Property management for lease. I reached out to them they told me property is for lease. They no longer lease it. So now my daughters event is on 6/17/23. I don't have a venue and won't get my deposit back and they didn't even have the decency to communicate the situation. They also have 2 other locations that they run. At this point I may have to cancel the event and lose out on hundreds of dollars. This is very unprofessional and I would like my deposit back. If not I'm going to contact my attorney. I also have all the emails but I cannot upload them. If needed I can forward.
