We had our existing backyard excavated, a new paver patio installed and edgestone laid for our garden that runs along the back of our backyard back in March of 2020. We went with David as he was local in the neighborhood and felt that he would be a great fit for our backyard needs. We were also pleased to know that in David’s contract it explained that there was a 3-year warranty on the work. David explained that he usually had college kids help him out to bring out old material and bring in new, but that he would mostly be doing the job. Unfortunately, that was not the case. David allowed an unqualified and unexperienced worker do a lot of this work, which in result, we have major issues with our patio. We have two places where ventilation/access goes down to the basement, we were told this would be closed up properly, however, bricks and random other things were piled up down in my basement to “hold up” the paver patio. Once complete we had some issues that David did come back to address, however, we were certainly not satisfied with the outcome. You could tell that there was frustration from David although he knew that the project was not done right. We have moisture collecting on the exterior of our house where the patio and exterior meet, the foundation of the patio is caving in some areas where the foundation was not done correctly. The sand from the foundation pours into our neighbor’ backyard when it rains. The Polymeric sand never hardened as it was supposed to. There are dips all over the patio where puddles collect when it rains, and the edgestone that was installed was not installed correctly and has fallen over in many spots. In addition to the work, we noticed that David and his team discarded the gravel stone and rose bushes that were taken out right next to our house and basically used this as a dump. We’ve since had to clean up after him to remove all of this so that it doesn’t look like a dump. We reached out to David on numerous occasions, including phone, text, email, mail and even reach out to the BBB and small claims court to address this issue and we have not heard back. I guess the warranty does not actually exist. I would not recommend Graff Hardscaping for any of your patio needs. We now must hire someone else to basically take out all the work that was done and start the process all over again. This was a complete waste of money and time.
