I rented a all terrain scissor lift through sunbelt rentals for Saturday October 8th 2022. They asked if they could drop it off the day before (7th) I told them this was fine. I paid 1019.19 for the rental which came out of my account the 7th. I was able to use the rental for a few hours friday the 7th and get a head start for Saturday. I plugged it in overnight and came out in the morning on the 8th and the lift was dead. I started it using the diesel backup up and a fuse tripped on it. A mechanic came out and temporarily fixed it before it broke down again. I called their on call service just have the lift picked up. I called their office on the 10th to talk about a refund and they told me to wait until they returned the lift to their facility. They came later that week and picked it up and I noticed on the 14th I was charged an additional 551.09. There is no clarification what this is for on the invoice. Everytime I call Walter seems to be in a meeting or on a call with someone. I received 530.45 back on the 19th and 126.23 back on the 21st which is less than half of the total I paid for this rental that broke down in my yard. Everytime I call trying to get an explanation they give me the run around and haven't been at all helpful. I have called on multiple occasions and have yet to get an explanation to the extra 551.09 charge and why my refund was nearly a third of my total rental charge.Business response
