We owed the ********* restaurant from 2015 to June 20, 2023. We fully closed the restaurant on June 20, 2023. Why FreedomPay, Inc. still charged fees after June 20, 2023?Initial Complaint

On September 18, 2022 we ate dinner at ********* restaurants in Elizabeth city, NC *****. Our bill was 115.31 After we ate, they told us there was a problem with their network and everyone's orders were being difficult to process. A few days later, we were charged over 6 times for that dollar amount. We called restaurants and were told every customer who ate there were charged multiple times. Fast forward to this week, we received another charge, in the same dollar amount for a meal at *********. We have not been to any ********* since 9/18/22. We were told by the restaurant that every customer was charged again same as us. We were told freedom pay is the responsible party. We still have not heard from them or *********. It is a privacy issue to have our account charged again a month after the initial incident. This means our information has been stored somewhere and we demand reparations. We have contacted the restaurant corporate and freedom pay. And now the bbb.Initial Complaint

I utilized Freedom Pay services for *********** by payroll deduction through my employer, ******* ******************** I worked at the main campus of ******* ******************* and used my employee badge with "***********" in the cafeteria for approximately the past two years before transferring to an outpatient satellite office where I no longer had a need for the *********** program. I went into my employee portal in August 2021 and requested to terminate my payroll deduction for that service, but after a couple months I realized it did not term, so I called Freedom Pay directly at ************** and asked that they stop my payroll deduction for this service. Fast forward to November of 2021 when I realized after checking my payroll statement online that the *********** payroll deduction was still being taken out of my paycheck every two weeks & hadn't been termed, so I called them again to ask why it hadn't been termed & they did not have a good answer or reason. I again called Freedom Pay on 1/22/2022 to update my address & make sure they had termed this service, and they assured me they had and that they would be issuing me three refund checks. I have called Freedom Pay at least six different times in the past 4 months, and I have emailed or received emails from them with information regarding my refund checks, but I have still not received these refund checks. I called back in November 2021, then on 12/13/2021, then on 1/22/2022, then 2/18/2022, then today 3/7/2022. I was told on 2/18/2022 that my three refund checks would be mailed on Thursday, February 25th, 2022, but I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED MY REFUNDS! There is clearly a complete breakdown in communication and follow through regarding this company and how they operate, and I will never utilize their services again.Initial Complaint

FreeDompay Inc mailed the credit card readers to us, but also send the invoice today (1/5/22). We never to use this CC Reader now, why be charged? And we never are charged on CC readers equipment when we are using WorldPay CC readers. It should be free.
