They came to replace my shower head on 7/1/22. During this service, the INCORRECT main water valve was loosened to shut off my water. The guys used a water valve from the early 1900s, when a new one was installed in the 2000s to replace this. When the guys left, this water valve then blew (because it was never supposed to me touched in the first place). This happened the very next day. I initially incorrectly thought that the water was coming from the hot water heater, when I fact it was coming from the main water valve that was loosened. their men came back on 7/5/22 and simply re tightened the valve that they originally loosened. They DID NOT replace the valve. I have photos of what the valve looked like beforehand and what it looks like now and it is exactly the same valve. As they were leaving, they told me this service was free since they incorrectly loosened that valve in the first place. The main water valve was a completely different lever. What they were turning on and off was an old lever that was not supposed to be In use. I payed $445 for the replacement of shower head (which I payed the day of the service). I was NOT invoiced the day that they came back to tighten the nut/valve, because they told me it was their mistake in the first place. My boyfriend was present during this conversation and witnessed the entire thing. There was never anything wrong with my hot water heater and your men did not even touch my hot water heater. They are now attempting to charge me $225 for “replacement of the water valve/tightening of the valve” I had multiple items that were damaged following this valve explosion and had to go and purchase a wet vac to clean the whole basement. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and understood that they made a mistake, so I did not make a big deal of the lost items. I should NOT have to pay for their mistake. They are attempting to charge me after me weeks after correcting THEIR MISTAKE.Initial Complaint

Business did not tell me ahead of time that they would only install ********* faucet and only provided by them. Faucet and installation estimate was above $1000. Plumber also said I needed new cut off valves. Other Plumber hired subsequently said my cut off valves were fine. Also wanted plumber to check a running toilet: The Giannone plumber said I needed to get a new toilet. Subsequent plumber just adjusted a valve and took care of problem.Customer response

I paid $99 for the plumber to come and assess the issue. I would not have him come, had I known ahead of time that I was restricted to getting their very expensive products. His assessment on the problems was incorrect and made to inflate the estimates.
