  I live In this apartment building . They have a designated parking area for us . My car has been broken and windows shattered three times while being parked in the lot in the past year. These things also happened on camera in the parking lot .my landlord sent an email saying we were getting a gate over a year ago. We never did , the landlord says he doesn’t know when we will get it . My landlord continues to tell me it’s nothing he can do about the damages . My windows were busted last night and once again he says it’s not his problem. I wish To be compensated and a gate installed in our lot . My lease does not say he isn’t responsible for damages in the lot

  Hello. It is an unfortunate reality, concerning the substantial increase in auto related crimes  in the area recently. I have asked the tenant to contact the police department, and to file a  report of her auto break in. If a police detective requests access to view certain camera  footage, my property management will schedule an appointment to accommodate any such  request.  
  

  4800 Stenton LLC is not offering any compensation or repair reimbursement for any damages  to the tenants’ parked vehicle. Please see the attached page of the tenant’s lease, section 13,  which clearly addresses parking policy here. It states, “Any parking that may be provided is  strictly self-park and is at owner’s risk. Lessor is not responsible for, nor does Lessor assume  any liability for damages caused by fire, theft, and casualty or any other cause whatsoever  with respect to any car or its contents.” 
  

  4800 Stenton LLC is seeking to install a parking gate, at the entrance to the apartment parking  area. However, there is no time frame for the project, nor have I promised any specific time  frame to this tenant, or any other tenant. The future parking gate needs to be coordinated  with the next door building property owner, a reality that takes a considerable amount of  time. We want to install a parking gate, for the comfort and peace of mind for our tenants.
