I'm unsatisfied with the job completed by 21st Century Painters at ********************, Philadelphia, PA. The scope of work was to remove hardware, sand, caulk, fill, and paint 18 window frames. The issues with the job are as follows:1)Only the lower-level windows were sanded, caulked, and filled before being painted. 2)More than 13 windows simply painted, with no attempt to remove hardware, sand, caulk, or fill. 3)These windows need to be sanded, caulked, filled, and repainted. 4)On 11/13, I noticed the painters on Mr. B*****'s team were not sanding or using primer. I asked him to tell the painters to sand the frames and use primer. I sent a photo of the un-sanded, un-primed, half-painted frames ****************. He apologized and agreed the work looked shoddy. He said he was mortified and would do a better job. On Friday, 11/19, I noted again that his team continued to paint un-sanded window frames. **************** continued to say the team was going to sand and prime, as we both watched the painters continue to paint un-sanded window frames. 5)The exterior primer purchased for this project was never used and the unopened primer was taken from the house at the completion of the project. 6)The grey paint for the window trim is on the white stucco. 7)One window was not painted. 8)There is paint on 4 interior curtains. 9)There is paint and caulk on a recently purchased, $300 blazer. We were charged $200 per window for sanding, refinishing, and painting. Work on 13 windows was not completed properly. We would like $2,600 returned to us. We had agreed to $200 per window, which is $2,600 for 13 windows. We are requesting proposals from other painters to re-do this work.
