I purchased a vanity set around March/April 2021 from ******* for approximately $600 (sold from Elegant Lighting through *******). A few months after the one year warranty, the marble top began to stain a bright orange color where water hits it from washing your hands. It also began rusting in the sink basin. I spoke to a rep from ******* who said I had to go through the manufacturer since their warranty was up. I began to speak with Chunt at Elegant Lighting in September 2021 with e-commerce customer service. He asked that I send him a detailed email with pictures of the damage to the marble top and sink. I did this and began to follow up with him for a month without hearing back from him. After repeated attempts, I finally was able to talk to Chunt who then told me I should go to ****** or ********** to buy stone cleaner and sealant. He told me WE, THE CUSTOMER WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR SEALING THE MARBLE AND THAT THIS WAS IMPERATIVE TO PREVENT THE STAINING. THERE WAS NO INSTRUCTION WITH THE VANITY THAT TOLD US TO SEAL THE MARBLE BEFORE USE but I purchased the sealant and cleaner anyway to give it a try. Neither of them made a difference. I then asked for the supervisor, Maria C*******, who giggled that Chunt was not able to help me and said she will ask the main supervisor if they can make an exception even though the warranty had run out. She stated Supervisor *********************** said there is nothing they can do for me. I have spent a GREAT DEAL of time on this! It is because of Elegant Lighting's negligence in telling the customer they are responsible for sealing the marble that we are in this predicament. Marble should not look like trash after just one year and your sink shouldn't rust out. They either needed to send the sealant with the set and give directions to apply it or they should send the new piece of marble and sink to me, which is all I asked for. I am disgusted at the lack of customer service, lack of quality product I recieved, and time I have had to spend!
