Business ProfileforPAT School

Based on my experience, I am referring to the 1901 W. Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. 19130 location for PTTI's campus. I cannot believe this business is still standing. Students are charged almost $20,000 a semester to take up a trade in which they truly do not receive the proper curriculum and or skills advertised or promised to them during the enrollment process. Students do not receive the hands on training that they are supposed to receive. For example, the masonry or welding program to name a few will only allow students a few hands on experiences/projects while the remainder of schooling consists of students sitting around in classrooms having personal conversations with so called instructors who behave in an unprofessional manner. The owner Sherman, does not respond to student inquiries which have been vital to matters that effect the learning process. Sherman found a building, created a website, received and still receives Government funding and opened an establishment that he calls a business. This business is stealing money from poor citizens who are desperate to find a career that will help them to live a stable life; however, they have no clue that they are enrolling into a program that upon graduation, they will not even be able to find a job doing security. As being part of the masonry/welding program, I can truly say, I've engaged in maybe 2 hands on training assignments in the course of 7 months. I don't think it is right to collect government funding in an attempt to pretend you are running a business that is really preparing and teaching students trades that will prepare them for the real world when in fact you are not. The owner Sherman is collecting government funding and taking money from poor people who are hoping to gain a trade that they will never receive. I've witnessed first hand how you have to gravel for a printed roster or anything else that tuition covers. These are just a few of the issues at hand. Please investigate this place!
