On August 1, 2022 I contracted *** **** ****** to move from Michigan to North Carolina. We were informed that they are a moving broker, and they give the job to Levels Trucking Company LLC from Philadelphia PA. we were told that the total cost of moving us door to door was 7500.00. First deposit payment was made to New Leaf for 2106.37. When Levels Trucking arrives they wanted 2000.00 to start loading the truck . This amount was paid vis bank wire transfer. When they arrived at our new home in North Carolina, ******, the supervisor in charge said he wanted 5500.00 before they would unload the truck. If I was unable to pay right now, they would take the truck away and charge us 500.00 per day until we pay them. We tried and tried to give them many different forms of payment including a certified bank check. NO other form of payment was accepted other than cash. We were FORCED to scramble our accounts together to give them the 5500.00. This involved two bank managers staying after closing to complete two bank wire transfers. When we asked for a copy of the paperwork on our move, we were told that there wasn't any papers showing our move details. Levels Trucking Company LLC **** ******** Philadelphia PA, has the most horrible business practices I have ever seen in a company. The only thing they wanted was cash, I believe this was because they didnt want to claim the move as income. Wonder how many others they pulled this con on and are still pulling this con. I want my money back, overpayment of 2000.00 I am tried of their excuses and tried of being brushed off. If I don't get my money back, a lawyer and FMCSA will be contacted.
