I rescued a cat named Sebastian from Pittsburgh Purrfect Cat Rescue on April 5, 2022. I picked him up at Stephanie R******* house in ******** around 7:30 pm. Stephanie R***** runs this organization. She told me that when I adopted him, I would receive all his papers. This was my first time adopting a pet so I didn’t realize how important the papers were right away. I took him to the vet April 28 and the vet wouldn’t see him because I didn’t have his paperwork. The vet tech explained to me that I need them and they’re very important and that I should have legally received them right away. I immediately called Stephanie from the vets waiting room and left a voicemail about needing the papers. I also texted her. She didn’t respond for hours so I had to leave the vet. Stephanie responded a few hours later and said that she was in the hospital and she would get them to me ASAP. I never received them, never heard from her again. So on May 15 I reached out about my cats papers for the second time. She responded that she was still in the hospital and would get them to me ASAP. I never received the papers and never heard from Stephanie. On June 4, I made the third attempt to contact Stephanie about the papers. She didn’t respond. June 7 I reached out for the fourth time. I even specifically said to her that I needed to take him to the vet and it’s super important. No response. So finally on June 13, I made my FIFTH attempt at contacting her about my cats papers. Her fiancé responded “I don’t know where to get your stupid *** papers” and that is a direct quote. Then I explained I needed to take my cat to the vet and he said “I don’t give a ****. It’s a fully vetted cat. He is fine” also a direct quote. Actually my cat is not fine and he has no idea if my cat if okay. Then he said “I think you’re a *****” and that’s a direct quote. I told him to have a good day and he said “you too *****” direct quote. I then blocked the phone number. Unbelievable. Please call me to discuss.
