Would never finance anything thru them again. My parked car was totaled and my insurance and gap insurance paid it off in full in a timely fashion on their end. However on the banks end they refused to help retrieve documents needed to submit to the insurance and gap insurance in a timely fashion and turns out they are still charging interest on a loan that was to be completly paid off due to dragging their feet on their end.First National Bank of PA Response

I am very concerned about the amount of the overdraft fees and also how they are determined. I always make a deposit to cover the differences in my account, but I have incurred 2 late fees this week alone because my deposits were NOT posted in a timely manner. I made these deposits at the *** before the start of the business day. Yet, the withdrawal was put through my account and the deposit was not. Because of the first overdraft fee, I incurred a second one because I did not put money into the account to cover the $35 fee because I was not aware of it. When I check my app, I was NEVER in the negative. It shows my deposits on the same day as the withdrawals. If the deposits do not process until the next day, then it should show they aren't deposited until the next day. The fees are ridiculously high, but when I make deposits to cover my withdrawals, it makes it even worse. I will be filing a complaint with the ***** *******, I believe from the **********, WV or *********, WV branch, is not giving me the $70 back in fees. Therefore, I will be closing my accounts, my family's accounts and I will be reaching out to friends as well. I am a Senior Accountant at my job and fully understand how this is supposed to work.First National Bank of PA Response

Not a good neighborhood bank / they take every money out of your account over anything & while I was banking with them I saw them get robbed 2 times. 1 time on Hardford road 1 time at Eastern Ave. Maybe it's because of how they do business at these location.

Avoid Avoid Avoid! This bank is a small business killer. They are charging to put actual money in a bank. I run a small convenience store with a lottery. Well with a lottery for ones who don’t know 90-95% is cash and has to be deposited weekly for the state to withdraw. I have no choice to deposit cash, well this month they took $14.66 from one account and $63.43 from another account for depositing cash. For ones who don’t know retailers make 5% commission on sales. If you break that 5% down further with taxes, employee to play lottery, electricity, bank cash fees and so on, I’m loosing money to have a lottery machine. I feel this is being done to the good customers they have left after closing branches and building a multi million dollar building in the city of Pittsburgh. Are the top people taking cuts or are they still making well over 1 million in salary and bonuses? I doubt it, small business killer! Do your research I deal with another bank that keeps growing because they don’t charge excessive fees plus First National and another major bank just closed in the area and they picked up most of their customers, customers did not follow the banks. I might be closing or selling my business soon. I definitely will be moving and closing my 3 accounts soon because I don’t need to pay excessive fees for depositing money in a bank! FNB does not need my over 1/2 million in deposits I give them to make money from and the excessive fees they make from me also. I’m sure they will send the same response I see they put on all the other reviews. I have complained and was told there is nothing that can be done. Thanks for reading.

We opened a secondary bank account for supplemental reasons and for my daughter who is approaching driving age. *** at this bank is just amazing! He went above and beyond to get us squared away and even went to upper management to help me out with getting a debit card for my daughter as well! Great customer service!First National Bank of PA Response

Early this year, I went to the First National Bank Branch on *****************, *********, ** to open an account, no one bothered to acknowledge my presence (only customer at the time) and when they eventually did, I found the manager (woman) and a male staff member rude and inept. One would think that theyd be professional towards customers and appreciate the fact that we bank with them. Staff at other *********, ** branches are professional and ready to assist.First National Bank of PA Response

My ordeal with First Bank began when I sought their assistance for a home mortgage after encountering appraisal issues with a previous lender. Despite my clear explanation to ****************** regarding the urgency of the matter, the process was marred by delays and lack of communication, causing unnecessary stress and financial strain.Initially, ****************** appeared attentive and competent, giving me hope that my mortgage needs would be swiftly addressed. However, these assurances quickly dissipated as the days passed without progress on the appraisal report. Despite repeated reminders and assurances of timely completion, the report took a staggering 10 days to materialize, with no valid explanation provided for the delay.During this prolonged waiting period, both First Bank and ****************** exhibited a disturbing lack of communication, leaving me in the dark about the status of my application and exacerbating the anxiety caused by the looming deadline set by the sellers. Furthermore, the handling of my application raised serious concerns about First Bank's discriminatory practices. Upon receiving the appraisal report, First Bank inexplicably raised objections regarding my marital status, despite my application clearly stating that I am separated but not divorced, with no intention of pursuing divorce. My attorney promptly clarified that the mortgage could be solely under my name, yet First Bank persisted in their refusal, citing vague discretionary policies. This arbitrary decision not only jeopardized my chances of securing the mortgage but also wasted precious time and resources, ultimately leading to the loss of the loan. It is incomprehensible that First Bank would raise such concerns at the eleventh hour, without prior discussion or clarification during the initial application process.First National Bank of PA Response

If I could give this place zero stars I would! I have banked with this bank for many years One day I go to log in on mobile app and it tells me I am locked out because to many failed attempts to log in even though I had my username and password in front of me!! Then I try to get someone on the phone and of course eveything is down and there is no time for it to be fixed. I wait a few days and try again for days the wait time to get somone on the phone is over an hour!! then it tells you that for convenience we can go online and reset everything to view our account information and naturally that doesnt work I email i let them know that it doesnt work and to this day it still doesnt!!! this is outragious and all i ever get told is call in I do not have an infinite amount of time this is the worst customer service and then i cant even reset online they force you to hold for hours just to view your accounts!!!! Do yourself a favor and if you do not bank with them dont you will receive nothing but the run around and poor customer service. I think its time for me to move on.First National Bank of PA Response

I just got an auto loan thru this bank at the dealership, and I wish I had NEVER done so! As many other complaints below indicate, they do NOT have ANY way to pay them manually online! They only offer automatic payments set up that you have to fill a form out and wait, OR open an entirely new checking/savings account with them, then transfer money to that, then use that to pay. I have never, EVER in my life been unable to pay a bill online simply until this bank! Then, they told me to use my personal bank to setup electronic bill pay...which is a whole added process of confusion. I use ***** *****, a huge bank, and they could not tell me it would work or not and said to call FNB. FNB says to call ***** *****. It's a crapshow. I have *zero* desire to open an account with this place because of the hassle I'm getting already! Even the smallest, tiniest business has ways to pay online manually -- not FNB! I've spent hours on the phone, on hold, and trying to make 2 banks work together and as of today, to no avail. I'm also not physically going to go to their branches every month with cash, which I guess is another option lol. This is awful, terrible customer service at best -- and at worst, it's a ploy designed to only allow automatic payments and NEVER have any way to easily make extra payments or pay a loan off earlier. Either way, I'm nuclear frustrated with this bank and if this is how they operate with *loans*, which is all interest profit for them, I cannot imagine how bad they are at anything else.First National Bank of PA Response
