I had called Excel Dental at 2622 Brandt School Road Wexford PA 15080-7646, because I was having a Dental emergency with a tooth that had broken off in my gums. I told them who was my insurance provider which is Upmc for Life, and they proceeded to tell me that they accepted my insurance and made an appointment for me on October 14,2021. I get to the appointment by this time the broken tooth is infecting my other tooth . They told me that I would need an abstraction with bone added up in the tooth so that I can get a partial and I also needed the other tooth next to it filled in. They explained to me that the exam was a 100% covered and that my portion of the bill after the insurance was as followed $758. I explained to them that that was kind of expensive but I really needed my tooth out because it was infecting my mouth. Days later I called my insurance to ask them why basic things weren't covered in my procedure And that's when I found out that I was lied too and that they weren't in my network and they charge me full price. I put my trust in this establishment To take care of my needs I am on disability and was unable to really afford this procedure. But I knew it needed to be done. I also found out that they never submitted a claim that they even did work on my mouth. I have also Uploaded proof showing the portion they told me I would have to pay after my insurance.
