I have written to them over 5 times about an issue I am having with the website. I am stuck on Session 3 Unit 2 and it will not let me pass. They have replied to me once and have not resolved the issue. I have paid for a year from February of this year and after 5 months I can not finish out my subscription. They also make you sign back in asking for points because of missing days not using the app. I have tried everyday to see if issue has been resolved and it has not. Very dissatisfied with the app.Review from Merja J

Duolingo used to be a good language learning platform. Since I started 5-6 years ago it has changed a lot. The adds and the homosexual ideologies are taking over. I just discovered another issue. My privacy has been violated. I signed up with a username. However, they are now using my full name on the leaderboard. I have learned so much on Duolingo but Im at the point of looking for another place to continue with my language learning.Review from Aleksandr L

I would not recommend this Bisness for few reasons:1. It has a lot of audio, grammatical and syntax errors. It unacceptable for educational company..2. They have a system of adding "heart" for watched ads. They do not add them in reality.3. The sentences they use make no sense and are useless as examples for use in real life practice.Review from Genieve R

I have repeatedly tried to cancel this service, for 3 years and NO one gets back to us. It is not a good language learning tool; they keep charging us. TERRIBLE customer service.Review from Anthony T

This webpage called Duolingo English Test is a scam. They offer a cheaper option for the English proficiency test, and their app to take the test is rigged to freeze mid-test and be disqualified, in order for you to purchase a se one test, with them blaming the computer or device. When I reached them and checked that my computer was fine, they said I should try on a different computer. Stay away from them as much as you can! They are conducting fraudulent activity.Review from Eileen S

The program was good at first and so I subscribed. Now you are interrupted with all types of ads and messages about getting hearts to continue otherwise to get rid of these issues you will have to upgrade to super Duolingo. Why can't you you just simply get what you paid for. When I first started there were no ads or hearts. Where do these come from. I am no longer interested in practicing everyday as I don't think I should be forced to buy some other product to get what you bought into in the first place...an add and heart free product. Will cancel and look into some other course.Review from Elissar S

I purchased English test and started practicing on their website. Not once I saw any count down for 21 days for when the test expires. Then I got sick and completely forgot about the deadline. They didnt send me any email reminders. Now, and after my test link expired they wont refund or give me credit. This is a robbery. Why does it matter when I do the test, and why is it 21 days and not a month. This is how they make money by scamming people. After multiple emails, they said they cant help me. I lost my money for good. Im hurt and I cant afford another test now.Review from Ja D

I am learning Spanish and trusted that Duolingo would teach me words, sentence, and terms. However, at first the program was innocent, homosexual ideology was integrated into my lessons. I can only imagine that the lack of informed consent is compromising the integrity of this language learning program for unsuspecting users. I terminated my account with ********************** and switched to ***** language learning program.Review from Laurie Z

I used Duolingo for free for a while, got sick of the constant sales pitches, and subscribed to Super Duolingo so that my language review would actually be worthwhile. Their description of the subscription made it sound like it was x much a month (which would add up to y over a year), and that you could cancel any time. So, I thought I was paying month to month, since I only needed about four-months worth of review. But no. I finished my review just now, cancelled my subscription, and found out that I was charged for the entire year. You have to dig deep into their website to find out that the subscription is for an entire year. Deceptive practices if I ever saw them. I will never use Duolingo again.Review from Brian D

This rating is too high. Seriously. The paid program is a scam. The free program is misleading.I utilized the "free" program for 20 months, the biggest issue being losing audio periodically. Then, they added a 5 heart (mistakes) a day limit, and they go to great lengths to ensure that you'll fail via a variety of means: similar pronunciations (when their sound is working), using a variation of the word that you've never seen, grammar, etc.As a result, in May 2023 I subscribed. Since then, the problems have sharply escalated. In 5 months, my Spanish program has changed 4 times, the last one so that I can no longer see the end of it. Multiple times in a session, every day, each of these things happens + more: the program freezes, the sound cuts out, the sound arrives several seconds later or prematurely, multiple sound tracks play, the screen stops drawing. I've tried wi-fi, putting my node right next to the computer and plugging it in directly, and different browsers, nothing improves matters except, most of the time, cleaning cache every few lessons did until recently, now it's sometimes. Re-booting is also sometimes. Refreshing a second tab also helps more than not. At first, I submitted 1 bug at a time, now I send them in groups of 5, multiple groups a day. I've asked for my money back multiple times. I never get a response to anything. I do think they read them, as sometimes after a miserable time + submitting errors, things improve for a bit. I also believe they deliberately changed my last course so that I can no longer see how much further I have to go, as I could prior to that and mistakenly mentioned that + my accelerated plan to finish by the end of my subscription. The additional technical difficulties seem to be their way of ensuring that I renew, which I won't.My friend got their 5 heart limit after I, and they're now struggling with the free Spanish course, which for them has included audio practice-mine doesn't; now they're giving up.
