I researched fully & entered into a contract with Clear ***** Legal in July of 2023 for debt **************************** It was explained to me that they had LONG STANDING relationships with almost all major ****************** And there was NO question that they would be able to STOP the interest & negotiate my balances to on average 40% less than they were. I was to pay $554.00/monthly starting immediately, to go into an acct that would be used to pay off my debt once they were settled. Additionally I was told I would be assigned a lawyer, kept apprised of their progress and be out of debt in approximately 4 years. I also could CANCEL my contract at any time prior to resolving the accts & get a full refund. I knew my credit would suffer, but ** thought it would be worth the price of getting out of debt. I was never late, had good credit, but couldn't get ahead with the interest rates. I have been served by one of the creditors on two accounts, suing me for breach of contract, and they have added of 5K in additional interest. fees. I contacted Clear Creek immediately, sent over both summons & try to reach my lawyer. He doesn't work there anymore. I WAITED on hold multiple times for over an hour+, only to be told NO accts are settled and no lawyer has been assigned "yet". Last call was 8 weeks after summons, still no lawyer, I cant get in touch with them, they've done nothing for the over $6000.00 I've paid, I am being sued with NO representation and I cant figure out the status of any of the other accounts. I asked my bank to block their automatic withdrawals and they said they did, but they were still able to take out the $554.00 after I did that. I want them to refund ALL of my money, fees included & I want to know the status of my accts so i can try to resolve them myself. I am in much worse financial situation that prior to singing up for this "relief".Initial Complaint

Clear Creek Legal told me that they were going to help me negotiate all of my debt. I have yet to hear from them. I can't get a hold of anyone on the phone and nothing has been settled. Not I received a letter that they have been taken to court so I really do not know what to do at this point.Initial Complaint

I signed up with Clear Creek legal 10 months ago. They were very clear when they said my credit would take a minor dip of 20 to 30 points while they settle my debts. They mentioned it would all be resolved by month 6 in the program. Also communicated that I would be able to cancel at any time with no penalty. The main direction they gave me was to not answer any calls from debt collectors and to immediately stop paying my monthly bills to the credit card companys. This was a part of their program rules. All of this was untrue.Here I am 10 months into the program my credit has dropped over 150 points. Not a single debt has been settled. I received an email stating they are being sued by the Government for misuse of funds received from individuals enrolled in this program. The app does not work. If you call their customer service you are on hold for hours (my record being on hold for 4 hrs 52 minutes....just to be hung up on after a 2 minute conversation.After I called back the following day their customer service rep said I would only be refunded $2000 of the $4520 which I still have not received. They gave no explanation as to why. Now I am in more debt and my credit has dropped over 150 points. This company is a scam and I advise everyone to go a different route. They are unprofessional, unprepared, and overall careless with the lives and Information they should be sharing with individuals enrolled in their debt relief program. This whole experience has made me sick to my stomach. Now it is on me (who thought everything was being handled behind the scenes) to navigate this absolute mess of a situation. I went into this program because I was missing work due to my sons cancer treatment and missing alot of work. I wanted to consolidate my **** to one payment. They collected my money every month and never paid anybody! My son has now passed away and besides this unending grief I have to deal with this. I want all my money back.Initial Complaint

Signed up in June 2023. Paid $495 for debt. Was informed first creditor would be paid by *** 2024 and another soon after. As of now, a year into the program, NO debts have been paid. They keep taking money monthly from my account although I have emailed them to cancel. I have made several calls with no answer. One call made mid day and I was on hold over an hour. I have yet to hear back from anyone from the emails, chats, phone calls Ive made. Ive sent them a physical piece of mail to their PA ****** which was returned to sender. Unknown address. I now have to have my bank stop Global Holding later payments. I dont know where all my money has gone but it seems to be just that - gone. I am so angry and want some resolution. They promised they would help me take care of my debt. All they did was take my money, and ruin my credit.Initial Complaint

I enlisted help with Clear Creek Legal one year ago (May 2023) to get help with debt that was too much for me to handle and work out a debt consolidation plan. They advised me to stop paying credit card bills and do not answer any calls from them, Clear Creek said they would handle this. Clear Creek would reach out every few months and tell me they were making progress with the consolidation and that I still should not be paying or in contact with the creditors. Now I can no longer get in touch with the company. I call and am on hold for over an hour (this was never the case before). When I reach out via email, I get a response saying they cannot answer any questions over email, cannot make any outbound calls, and to reach out to them over phone. I am now finding out that they have not provided the service that was discussed when I signed up for the program. They have not been in contact with the credit companies and have only been taking my money without providing any service. The total that I have paid over the 12 month period is $4,940.64. On April 12th, 2024 I received an email that they are being sued by the ************************************* and the States of ********, ********, ********, ********, *********, **************, and ********* for collecting unlawful advance fees. I am seeking to get my money back from them so I can handle the credit consolidation myself. My bank, where the money was charged cannot reverse the charges from Clear Creek. Clear Creek has not been working with me at all, I cannot get in contact with them, and am in a much worse financial situation from when I first signed up with them.Initial Complaint

In Sept, 2023, I began paying Clear Creek Legal $330.70 a month to help resolve my credit card debt. I did this so that my finance charges would end and I would be out of debt before I die. After finding out they have an F rating with the BBB in Feb, 2024, I requested my account be closed and my money returned in full. After two months and three requests, they finally responded and issued a refund of less than $700. When signing up with them, I was told I could cancel at any time with no penalties. The retainer I signed was over 60 pages, and I told the notary republic it would take me forever to read through it. She told me I didn't need to read it word for word, but that she would summarize each section before I initialized them. The fee section wasn't represented accurately at all, so I had no idea just how much money they were planning to take from me. I was told my credit rating would most likely be temporarily negatively affected, but I had no idea it would take over a 200 point hit. Until I was advised to stop making my credit card payments, I'd never been late on a payment. Now my credit rating and reputation have been totally destroyed, and I owe more money than I did because of all the late fees added on. Since I'm now worse off than when I began, and none of my accounts have been settled, I don't think this company deserves one cent of my money. I told them if they didn't return all of my money, I would file a complaint with the BBB. The company has since changed their policy so they no longer collect any fees until after making negotiations with credit card companies, yet they aren't willing to return the fees they had already collected. Since they misrepresented themselves, this doesn't seem fair. I'm hoping that by filing this complaint, you will be able to help me get my money back. I signed on with Clear Creek Legal for debt relief. I have paid them monthly since Oct 2023 and haven't had any resolution of any of my debt and I always have trouble accessing the app for the account. I've tried phoning them a number of times only to be on hold forever without anyone ever answering the line. It was stated that it could take up to 6 months before the initial negotiation of any of my accounts and it has been more than 8 months and nothing.Initial Complaint

The complaint is consolidate of two bills to make it easy on me. Now the two bills are in collection.Need help to get out of contract and to get my all my money back.
