I had to send in transcripts from my college to verify my sciences courses. On the information packet it says that science courses can be no older than 5 years from the start date of the program, however when I spoke with Lori S****** (the admissions coordinator) on the phone she advised me that anything from 2015 she could not accept. After sending my transcripts to Lori she then emails me and says she cannot accept my courses because they are from 2016 and anything from before 2017 she cannot accept. I emailed her back and responded that that was not what she had told me over the phone and that my courses were technically still within that 5 year window because one class will not be 6 years until July 2022 and the other until December 2022. I advised her that I would not qualify for financial aid because I had already taken both courses and passed them successfully. She then told me she would send me an exemption form to fill out to state why I feel the courses should be accepted and would submit it to the leadership program for review. They denied the form because I did not even qualify for the form; it was for persons of another situation not mine. I tried to go as far as contacting someone in a different department and even speaking with the director which in a nutshell I was told that other students have similar situations and if mines were to be granted they would have to do the same for others. Other students' problems are not my concern and right is right, wrong is wrong. I worked hard to get to the point and it is not fair that I have to suffer because of someone else's miscommunication.
