WittPest Management is trying to continuously charge for services not agreed to. I have moved out the property of Pittsburgh PA in 2022. They kept charing service without notification nor documentation for the property I am not living on When attempting to call the company asking for refund, they did not give me a firmed answer.Business response

Hi there,
I am the owner of Witt Pest Management and regret our oversight in processing the renewal of this property's termite protection. After reviewing the customers account I do see that they that called our office yesterday, on 3/6/2024 and spoke to one of our agents who in turn refunded the card for the amount connected to this complaint and cancelled the account. This was the first contact the customer made to us, and we promptly resolved. I have attached 2 files, a screenshots of the customer's account and page notes verifying the inbound call, the refund and the account cancellation along with a follow up email sent confirming the refund and cancellation; and the refund memo verifying the customers card was fully refunded.
I believe we have already resolved this dispute.We apologize for any inconvenience caused and the complainant can feel free to reach out to me directly or through the BBB should they have any questions or require any additional information. Thanks.

WittPest Management is trying to continuously charge for services not agreed to. No documentation was provided to me for the actual services rendered. When attempting to call the company about it they only repeat the same phrases over again and provide no understanding of the issue or possible resolution to the issues.Business response

This customer also disputed the transaction with her card issuer, and we have accepted the dispute and her card will be refunded for all charges. It is just a process through merchant services that takes time but she should see refund soon. Reviewing the account notes and listening to the phone call, it is our position that she accepted the service and our technician provided an initial treatment for centipedes and general pests (and provided her card to charge). The program Topcare was explained that it is a year-round pest protection program, with an initial fee and remainder of plan broken down into monthly payments. However, since the customer feels they misunderstood or disputes, and even though we did perform a service, we are refunding them in full (the initial service and first month) and it is in process through Merchant Services, and we have cancelled the account and no further services or charges. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The information sent to the BBB seems inconsistent with the information I've received from the credit card company regarding Witt Pest's actions. A letter from the credit card company says that Witt Pest has not offered a refund from services not provided but instead is asking for money.

Not sure what happened. I am cutting you a check today for ******* ****** ******and sending via US mail today. My office initially responded to the dispute in Merchant Services - accepting it but indicating that it was not fraudulent. The case closed. Sorry for the hassle. You should receive the check this week. I apologize personally and appreciate your patience and understanding.
