Worst place ever was yelled at screamed at my spouse was called a liar. They did not inform us of the cost and took advantage of **. Was told we were not important, did not care about my pet and that he had better things to do. We were even given the wrong bill. Unprofessional, disrespectful, bullied us and I was taken advantage of lied to and verbal and aggressively abusedReview from Jr C

"Emergency veterinary hospitals triage and treat patients based on severity of their condition. A patient (dog/cat) who needs medical care, but who is less severe than a pet in life-threatening condition, will be asked to wait". My beautiful GSD that was 1.5 years waited 7 hours to be seen for a bowl obstruction. Every hour mattered but not to this facility. Endlessly, they took animals that could have waited. Our dog was in visible signs of distress in front of a staff of at least 6 people sitting on their behinds. When the vet saw her she knew that Sasha had a bowl obstruction. They took our baby that could have made it but let her deteriorate to the point that 24 hours later her heart gave out when they intubated her. The vet apologized for the 7 hour wait. She promised that they would do surgery if her condition changed but they did NOTHIN|G for almost 24 hours. That is not the standard of care and Adele the office manager and the hospital should be closed. Even worse, she is not licensed to discuss or defend "emergency " vet services. I have had two highly distinguished vets review the events, timeline, and services along with three physicians. Not one licensed professional concurs with what they did with our baby. They just let her die. They could have done emergency surgery when we brought her in or when the A.M. vet called in the morning to tell me they were going to operate but no they took EVERY OTHER animal with hang nails and let our girl die. It is a disgrace to have this happen.Review from Samantha A

My girl was hospitalized here in April 2022 and diagnosed after cytology and ultrasound with what was believed to be chronic active hepatitis. 2/12/23 we brought her in for lethargy, vomit, blood in her diarrhea and loss of appetite. I asked several times if it could be pancreatitis and was told it was tapeworms and treated for it. With no improvement we returned the following week but added on was the inability to rest, not sleeping at night, general anxiety. We saw Dr Lucyk who did a standard exam let her go and said she’s fine, when I responded that she won’t sleep she said I’ll give her something to chill her out which I looked at her and said ok.. and she left the room. When the vet techs came back in I asked if we could figure out what’s causing it that nothing had really been done other than a physical exam and that I was nervous to just blindly medicate her especially with a heavy opiate and her liver condition. The doctor came back in, I said look there’s something clearly wrong with her (as she took that moment to cycle her head unbalanced) and she said I don’t know if that’s how your dog usually is chihuahuas are docile. I was so taken aback (not just by what she was saying but by her entire attitude ) that we immediately left (they forced me to pay the fee for the visit which I didn’t fight as we did take up a room) and went down to eastern Pa in Allentown. They did a full blood panel and added an ammonia slide, her levels were up at 400 (over 4x what they should be). The ammonia poisoning was putting her into fight or flight. Today we drove 1.5 hours up to Scranton, an ultrasound was performed and she indeed has pancreatitis- more dangerously ulcers from it being untreated that are causing the ammonia spike and damaging her brain. She also, has never had chronic active hepatitis as all testing shows something completely different. It’s hurtful and terrifying and had I not listened to my gut we could be in a different situation right now.Review from Rook M.

Could not be better! Very kind people in every position at that clinic. Saw us immediately on Xmas Day (which is the final day of Hanukkah too this year!) and couldn't have been more gentle and helpful. The clinic is clean and bright and careful about social distancing and I couldn't be more grateful for every single detail. Only vet we're going to from now on.Quakertown Veterinary Clinic Response

Thank you so much for your very kind words. Having to visit a hospital with your beloved pet is always stressful (especially during the holidays) and we appreciate you choosing us to help you take care of your pet. It is a pleasure to be able to help such kind and considerate owners choose the best treatment plan for their pet(s). Thank you!Review from Candy P

They have the knowledge when it comes to taking care of animals but they are very expensive and require you to pay all money up front even it it is at the expense of your pet dying in your arms while they are waiting for a payment. From this experience they rate money over saving the life of your petReview from Patricia W

I just had the worst experience. My 14 yr old dog woke me this morning gasping for air. He had thyroid cancer and was having trouble breathing. His normal vet was closed. I called Quakertown vet and told them what was going on. I knew that my beloved dog needed to be euthanized. It was a terrible drive getting there listening to him suffering. I imagined that they would come out and euthanize him in my car as was done previously with one of my dogs. Instead I was barely greeted by these 2 zombie girls who exhibited absolutely no compassion as they carried out this stretcher and buckled my weak dog in stressing him even more. They were insisting on taking him in the back and inserting a catheter and were trying to set me up with a visit with the vet as if he was going to be able to save my suffering dog. I explained I didn't think he needed a catheter just give him the shot. The Vet was rude and telling me to wear a mask or get out and he wasn't going to treat my dog. What kind of inhumane people are these and how do they belong treating animals. They inserted a cath in my dogs hind leg? Why did they not shave his leg and insert in the cephalic vein. Why give him more shots than he needs and stress him out like that. Then the vet tries administring the propaphol and it clogs the cath. Then the zombie vet tech comes in to flush the line for the vet who then came back in to try again. I have not in all my life witnessed such lack of professionalism and compassion . I said something to her about it and she said that they had been there all night. Seriously I am an RN and I have worked many crazy hours but I never lose my empathy and compassion or my professionalism. My poor dog continued to suffer needlessly Then the check out process 350.00 for that kind of treatment. They were awful to me and my sweet boy. They need training for sure. I would not recommend taking your pet to them.Review from Cindy M.

I think they are fabulous. I feel any of us would leave a bad review when our animals are dying...WHY because we want them to live forever. We want to understand how a 7 year old dog could have cancer, or a 3 year old cat seizes itself to death. If we want to understand... then we go to vet school for around $370,000. .. .. IF. . . we get accepted. We think our healthcare is outrageous... animals healthcare is no different. The price doesn't drop because the patient has 4 legs instead of 2. For instance, MRI machines do not cost less... etc etc. I see doctors that take their work home with them, calling to check on patients or replying to texts from said patients. I see caring. When you get a pet, you NEED to understand the cost involved. CFAHW in Easton is a rescue that offers low cost spay and neuter and vaccines.... drive there if you need a better price. You cannot have it all. This is an emergency clinic, which we are blessed to have in our area. I know, since none of my dogs EVER get sick during business hours. There is a plethora of staff at this place.. you won't get along with all of them, just like at work or school or in life, DEAL with that fact. Being angry or mean or nasty will not get you better service. I have a 3.5 lb Pomeranian who had a TBI, and they saved her life, (Thanks Dr. Forsyth). There was no guarantee, (Thank you Lord). Do I worry someone could drop her while she is staying there.. yes, she is a real itch. I have to have faith and trust. I tell them she can writhe like no other & leave it at that. I have 12 dogs buried on my property. QVC has euthanized all of them, except one. They are very kind during those hard times. I hope this helps. If they cannot help you, they will send you to VSEC or a place similar. Communication is key, and that is a two way street. Very much like an attorney, they deal with accurate facts.
