We had ****** out to give us an estimate on a new driveway. We paid him a $500 deposit. Since then we have not been able to get in contact with him or the business. We have called and it only goes to voicemail. We have left over 10 messages and no one has ever gotten back to us. We used their website to contact them and still no response. When I tried and call today the voicemail box is full and no longer accepting messages. The address they list is juts residential home. There is no way to get in contact with them.

On 06/11/2022 I gave this gentleman an estimate of $4200 to repave and expand his driveway. At that time I asked for a $500 deposit and let him know that I was scheduling 2 months out. Toward the end of June I called to schedule him for the work to be done but, he did not answer. That same day I decided to drop by his house and found him standing outside.  At that meeting he informed me that he would be required to get a permit and I told him to let me know when he gets it so we can proceed. During that time frame he did call to get my contractors license number which he was given. The next time I spoke to this gentleman was around the 20th of July when he said he would have the permit by July 25th. On July 26th I went to his house again and he told me that in order to receive the permit the drive must be marked where the expansion will be for inspection. He asked if I would make the markings and I said sure ,WHEN I GET A CHANCE. To be clear this is NOT in our contract and it is NOT required by the borough for the contractor to make these markings. I was just trying to help him. Today is July 29th and no I have not had the chance in the last three days to come mark his drive. This is the busiest time of our season which is why I told him I was booking out 2 months. All in all I have spoken to this gentleman by phone on five different occasions and been to his house 3 different times. 2 of those times are because he could not be reached by phone. As far as our response time, we always get back to our clients within the business week at least. Calling us 10 times in one day as he has will not get you any quicker response as we have other clients that deserve our attention as well. As far as receiving a full voicemail message it is possible, this happens due to the volume of calls we receive during the spring and summer months. As far as this being a residence, it is, with a home office. In closing, I have been in contact several times with this client even going out of my way to go to his house, because he couldn't be reached by phone but, I cannot drop what I am doing just when it is convenient for him. I have spoken with him today and told him I would be returning his deposit and cancelling his contract.

A & H Paving repaired, striped (sub-letted), & paved my business (********* ****** *******) parking lots. We had called Arthur back a number of times to address issues with the quality of the work. The seal coating was failing in numerous places, the line painting was quickly wearing off, and the worst was on our upper parking lot where the lot was getting all wavy throughout the entire lot. Arthur did stop by on a number of occasions and saw the problems. The calls and visits to the brewery we made were directly after the initial paving job in 2019, then again in 2020. Arthur assured me that they would return first thing in the Spring of 2021 to completely re-do the top parking lot and address issues with the lower lot. A&H never came back all of 2021 despite doing work at another business across Rt. ** from us. We attempted to reach them but, were unsuccessful. The entire paving project was $19,000.00 which we paid in full in June 2019. We are seeking a resolution to this outstanding issue. Either they contact us and schedule to redo the entire upper parking lot and repair, reseal, and line the lower lot at their expense or provide us a refund for %70 of what we paid. The work they had done should not have failed in the first year. They never returned or called to schedule a date to return to repair the work that had failed after giving them over a year to do so.

On August 14, 2021, I met with Arthur H***** owner of A & H Paving. Arthur and I agree A & H Paving would do a paving job for my home in mid-September for $11,600. Arthur asked for a $2,600 check/deposit which we wrote to A & H Paving though his business card said to write checks to him personally. I have reached out to A & H Paving through their website and six times on the phone where I only get their voicemail. Initially, I repeatedly asked for a simple courtesy call and then more recently said I would be filing a complaint and looking to receive my deposit. No response. Other than meeting Arthur, I have not spoken to anyone else at the company. I suspect A & H is either out of business, temporarily nor operating for some reason, or is a scam. Their physical location which I visited, is a house. In meeting Arthur I was trying to a local businessman a favor though A & H Paving had mixed reviews on line-line.
