In 09/2020, we established a contract to have a 400 Square foot deck, ramp, 2 walkways, skirting and 8X10 sq ft shed with a window constructed by D&D Construction (owner John M****** aka Johnathan M********). At a later date we agreed to add to the conttract a rear large and front small staircase, electrical outlets and gutters to which we paid for, but were never installed on the shed. Mr. M********* did not contruct the deck to code standards which can be proven by photos and we believe the deck is unsafe. Total cost of the deck with additions was $11, 815.00 (paid in full). The location where the deck was built is ********************************, ***************Community Association, ********************************, *********** Township,******************. We can forward all evidence which includes approx. 150 photos, invoices and cancelled checks via US Mail to the DC Office or when an investigator is assigned to our complaint. I would greatly appreciate your attention and assistance in this matter. Thank you.

      October 27, 2021

      Dear *** *******

I am responding to your letter of October 15, 2021.
I strongly disagree with the information in *** *****'s statement. We installed a deck and shed for *** *****, pursuant to her instructions. That shed and deck were adjacent to her. camper, in the Eagle Lake Community. All work was done safely and professionally. We have been building decks and doing other projects for thirty years.

It appears that *** ***** had some misunderstandings about how the deck system works in that community. By those community rules, the deck must be a floating deck. In her situation we agreed to use pressure treated lumber. We are not permitted to install permanent fixtures to the campground, and all decks must be on blocks. The deck is supported by multiple pressure treated posts and is on blocks. Those blocks rest on the ground. Additionally, the deck can not be attached to the camper. As a result some small movement is expected.

I have no idea why she is complaining about electrical outlets, as the same are installed on the deck and in the shed. Additionally, although we spoke about gutters on her shed, she did not contract for gutters.

As a company and as individuals, if a customer has a complaint or concern we do our best to address those concerns. For example, in this case, *** ***** complained of some of the boards with knot holes. Despite the structural integrity of those boards, as well as their natural appearance, we replaced them without any questions.

We continue to provide a good service to our customers and are always open to minor adjustments or repairs to the natural substances we use.

      Sincerely,
      John M

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      Good Morning ******************,

I am in receipt of your e-mail and the correspondence Mr. John M********* D/B/A D&D Construction forwarded to the Better Business Bureau. FYI, he mailed the same letter to the US Attorneys Office in PA (Eastern District). Mr. M********** was served by a Constable to appear at the Magistrate Court in Moscow, PA on 11/10/2021 and my spouse and I will appear to address the matter in my complaint. Please read the attached e-mail I sent to *************************, Director of Operations and Project Management at **************Community Association, Gouldsboro PA (************, ext #*/e-mail ************************************) which revealed my concerns about D&D Construction. I will inform you that numerous ***** **** property owners have made complaints about D&D Construction-John M************* via ********** (not an actual ******** page by the Management Office of ***** ****) who have not officially report him to the Management Office. To my understanding, there was one ***** **** property owner that filed a formal complaint with the ***** **** management office to which resulted in Mr. M********** being sued by this property owner and refunding the property owner back $1,400.00 for his poor skirting work. Thank you.

      Regards,
