On Oct 14, 2021, I went to Aspen Dental in Orange City Florida for one chipped tooth. Walked out financing over $900.00 for work that was needed. Signing paperwork. Comes to find out that they never verified with my insurance company what exactly was covered on my dental plan. Also, they did work on me that my insurance doesn't even cover. And now wants me to pay additional money or get turned into collections. Why should I be penalized for the incompetence of their accounting department? I was told what part of the work I needed to pay for and did it. I am very displeased with how this matter has been taken care of or I should say the lack of work. Or that they don't even want to try to make this right. If I knew I had this to pay at the beginning it wouldn't be so bad I would have done the work in partial times or gone ahead and fianced all of it. Not going down the road and receiving a bill in the mail for their mistake. And say pay it or go to collections

I went to Apsen Dental in Mount Pocono,PA. I had my first consultation on 10-22-21. I was told I needed around $8,000 worth of work done. I didn't have that much money to spend on that day so they told me we needed to start with a deep cleaning and that would cost $526.60. I paid that amount and was given an appointment for 11-1-21 @11am. I arrived 15 min early and signed in. The receptionist was on the phone and dealing with other patients and told me to have a seat and wait. I waited in the waiting area for around 30 min. While waiting I received an email from them stating I missed my appointment. I said something to the receptionist and she ran to the back and notified them I was there. They then took me to the back and told me they would only be cleaning my teeth on the right side only and scheduled me to come back on 11-15-21 @ 11am to clean the other half of my teeth. When I arrived on the day of my 2nd appointment, I was told I needed to pay $706.00 before they cleaned the other half of my teeth. I was originally told the $526.60 was for the cleaning, if I was told it was only for half the cleaning waited because I really didn't have the extra money to spend. They also billed my insurance company for services as well and I have contacted them to advise them of the situation. I was misled about what I was actually paying for. Now I am going to have to start over with another dentist office and will have to pay for another cleaning because they won't clean only half my teeth. This is causing me more of a financial burden because I need to have this work done now.
