We booked a April based on the information provided through a hotel booking system. The hotel was supposed to be smoke-free, have a restaurant and lounge. While it looked questionable when we arrived I proceeded to confirm our reservation and pick up a room key. We were informed there was no operating restaurant and lounge. I told them they should update their website as it was misleading and I was told "so sorry."the halls ways reeked of smoke and people were clearly smoking in Non-Smoking Room. The entrance light tot he room did not work, the furniture was broken, drapes dirty, and the telephone was a prop. It was not connected to anything and the ***fi also did not work. The room also smelled of smoke, there were cigarette ***** in the bed cover even,I went to the office and asked for a refund. I was told by the front desk person he could not do that the manager would have to and they would be in the next morning. I was provided a card with the manager's name, the reference number for my booking and room number. I called **** and told them of the incident and put a dispute claim in on the charge.I called the motel the next day and was told the manager did not come in on the weekends and that my refund had already been done. I have continued to check my account and there is no refund. This hotel is a scam. They are falsely adverting the condition of the hotel, they are not smoke free (a serious health issue for many travelers), they have none of the amenities they advertise, and they clearly lie about the steps they have taken to resolve matters.
