Unfortunately the incorrect cashapp tag is what you put down, so that is where it was paid. I can see if we can recall it from that person but that is highly unlikely. We cannot pay for the product twice, especially since it was your mistake. Im sorry but this is fully explained in our terms sheet.Customer response

I looked up online prices to sell my diabetic testing supplies and American surplus. Medical gave me the best price for the sale of my products. I was very much in need of the money. They initially offered a total of $730 along with a shipping label for all 3 of my items. After they receive the items they send pictures stating that there was late stains on the boxing and the products that were originally supposed to be PDR as $630 turned out to be decreased to $110 due to the staining of the boxes which I know for sure I sent them boxes that were in perfect condition. I told them I'd rather have them return my items because I would not like to do business with them because I felt like they were ripping me off. The products I sent each cost $800 retail to begin with and they are stating they are only sending $55 which is bizarre. I was just recently in a bad car accident and cannot get out to print a shipping label which I had told them I would send them a paid shipping label, but due to my circumstances, I'm not in the shape to do so. Now they will not answer any of my phone calls or texts. It is impossible to get a supervisor on the phone, and they are very ignorant and basically taking advantage of people that are in desperate need of cash and doing things they wouldn't normally do to make ends meet. I would like to either be given a fair price for the sale of the items or have them shipped back to me. If you can reach out to them, I would appreciate it because I have been unable to contact them due to them, not answering the phone nor text.Business response

We offered to pay for 1 box of sensors at full price and 1 transmitter at full price, totaling $$310. We would have deducted $7 to mail back the 2 boxes of sensors with water damage that we can not accept. You in a fit of rage demanded all your product back. We asked you to email us a return label because we have all ready paid for you to ship us your product. We can not pay again for you to have all your product returned. We are both in PA and it is not expensive. You made many threats to call the attorney general and the BBB. Which is your right but we will not be strong armed into buying unsatisfactory product that does not meet our terms. Everything in our terms you have agreed too. We also have video of your box being opened and checked in. I will still buy your good sensor box and transmitter for $310 and deduct $7 to return your other 2 boxes. However if you want all the product I will need you to email me a shipping label and I will gladly send your product back.Initial Complaint

I sent them diabetic testing strips to sell that I no longer needed. When they received them they notified me that the strips were close to expiration even though I verified that they expired June 2024. They just refused to pay me what they advertised and they could not prove in any way that what they were saying was true about my strips that were received. I even verified the expiration date on the strips I received from my pharmacy which they just ignored. They are a rip off company promising one price online and then not paying it out when they receive your product.Business response

Another example of someone trying to blackmail me with the BBB. We have all of our guidelines list on our website, and in each specific product listings. All customers agree to our terms and conditions when placing their orders to us. These terms and conditions state that if their products are in a certain expiration range, we will pay less for those products. She claims that her products were June of 2024 however the photos from her order shows that they are 11-2023. She was communicated with regarding the price difference and unfortunately was unhappy with the outcome.Initial Complaint

My MD recently changed my diabetic care needs leaving me with several items I could no longer use. After a successful transaction the first time I sold my unused supplies to American Medical Surplus, I wanted to send in the remaining supplies I had. Each item was brand new in mint condition and safely packaged in a box to send to AMS. Today (March 15, 2023) I received notification that my supplies were received but that they had been severely damaged. American Medical Surplus provided pictures of the box and some of the supplies, however the damage to the medical supplies DO NOT correlate to the damage to the box. I have included some of the photos sent to me. I have also shared these photos with a lawyer who stated that the damage to the items does not match the damage to the box, especially given that the items were packaged in bubble wrap. American Medical Surplus stated they would supply video evidence that this was indeed the condition that the items arrived in yet they have not provided the information. The value of the items sent is almost $700 (I have attached a copy of what my payout would have been). Now I do understand that American Medical Surplus's website states that they cannot accept damaged items but since the damage to the items and to the box do not correlate I strongly believe that the items were destroyed AFTER they were received so that AMS would not be responsible for paying me. I am asking for my items to be returned at the cost of American Medical Surplus OR a check for the full value of the items.Business response

Thank you for proving my point about individuals using the BBB to blackmail or strong arm our company. As your picture shows you used a very thin box to ship these items, the box was received by AMS in that condition. The truth is you poorly packed the items and shipped them in a subpar ultra thin box. Your claim that we damaged the boxes so we did not have to pay for them, makes no sense, we can not sell damaged boxes. Also, of the ****** ** expired 02-20-2021. Your name is still on the label. You have been extremally rude and demanding to my staff which is unacceptable. The only resolution I will offer you, is that you email me a shipping label so your items can be returned. I have also saved all photographs and text. Have a great day.Initial Complaint

12/9/2022 - The provided me with a label to ship something to them. It was damaged on arrival now they want me to pay to get it back. They said they would pay me $75 now I am stuck with finding a way to get my damaged goods back. They give no shipping instructions what so ever on their website. Seems like a scam if you tell them not to send it back they will sell your product.Business response

I’ve included the purchase dates of the products that were supposed to be purchased by this company instead I didn’t even receive an email I received a text message from an unknown number stating that they could not purchase the products that I sent in so I asked them if they would be shipping it back and they blocked me from texting them if that’s even them who texted me definitely this company could be a scamBusiness response

Hi, we never blocked you from the phone, I'm not sure where that theory came into play but I can assure you that didn't happen. The number that texted you is shown on our website as a texting number, we always use that number which is why it is listed on the site. Unfortunately, we weren't able to purchase your products because they were damaged and didn't meet the requirements listed on our site; I've attached photos of the products. We apologize that you had an unpleasant experience but we would be happy to get your products back to you.Initial Complaint

American Medical Surplus (AMS) has a website that buys extra diabetic supplies and resells them. In my case, I upgraded to a new insulin pump with integrated blood glucose meter that requires a different brand of test strips. I had 18 extra boxes of test strips to sell. AMS website commitment states - As soon as we get it, we will verify the contents and get you paid the same day. Date: 09/08/2021 - Entered order ***** on the AMS website to sell 18 boxes of Contour Next Test Strips (100 count) for a total of $720.00.Date: 09/08/2021 - Received from AMS by email mailing label Date: 09/08/2021 - Sent test strips to AMS via USPS with tracking. Date: 09/13/2021 - USPS tracking confirmed AMS received my package. Date: 10/01/2021 - Called AMS. They confirmed test strips were received, but payment had not been made. AMS stated they would check status and call me back. No Response. Communication Attempts to AMS - Multiple phone messages, emails, website contact form messages, and ******** message requesting AMS to please communicate with me to work out a solution. Nature of Dispute: AMS has not sent me a payment as promised. AMS has done nothing to resolve the problem.Business response

The business phoned me and explained that they had sent a check initially, which I apparently did not receive. After learning of the issue, they sent a replacement check immediately.
