My regular dentist told me that I needed seven teeth extracted so I was referred to Dr. Waltz who I had done business with several times in the past. Dr. Waltz gave me an estimate In the amount of $1838 and I paid that day $92 for the consultation. On the day of the surgery I did not have enough money for the entire amount and ask if I could get just one side done, and I paid $700 and come back later to get the other side repaired. So he extracted 4 teeth on the right side. When I came to I asked how it went and he said fine and he told me to go check out, so when I went to find out the amount due the manager gave me a bill for the same original estimate amount of $1838! I told her that we didn't do the full amount of work and ask her to adjust the bill. But she said that this is the amount! I started asking questions and she told me to talk to Dr Waltz. I met him in the middle room and when I inquired about the bill he said that he had some extra bone that he had to dig out. I said that’s an awful lot of money for taking out a little bit of bone!! Then he got animated and lit up and his voice got loud and then raising his arms and swinging them around, he stepped closer and got in my face and yelled “Now you don’t want to pay your damn bill now?” I was a little shocked but I calmly said “yes I want to pay your bill but I want it to be fair and I want you to adjust it accordingly. I’m a disabled senior citizen on Social Security and I feel like I’m being taken disabled advantage of! But he wouldn’t budge! I paid $700 and later paid $200 or $992 of $1838, or more than half! The next week I called and told secretary if you make a fair adjustment on that bill I will get the other side done because I like Dr. Waltz and he’s a good doctor so get back to me! But they never did and I forgot about it thinking they did too.. but they had sent me to a collector! I disputed it! Waltz & staff were rude and unprofessional and I don’t intend to pay them anything more!
