My apartment complex is University Village (The Ivy) and is under contract with the company Single Digits to provide internet. The LAN connection worked the first week and then went down. It has come back here and there but it's been two months of mostly not working. WIFI speeds are all bad, you can barely use it and the connection drops frequently. By subcontracting this poorly rated, crap company, they have stuck me with them and now I have to waste time out of my day talking to poorly trained customer service reps that can't help me. I need them to diagnose the problem with my connection, but they insist a technician needs to come check, which is ridiculous. All the hardware is working, there is an issue with the ports and the IP, which could be resolved remotely. I work online and like to game and both have been completely disrupted by similar internet speeds that were considered fast back in 1998. My apartment complex is already overcharging me on rent for living in rural PA and hasn't provided any help or credit on my bill, which I think I'm entitled to. Internet is essential for work, school, and fun, and this has been a major emotional drain dealing with it.
