ON December 29, 2023, I purchased a used 2021 Dodge Durango from this dealership. At the time the dealer presented me with one aftermarket key fob. Upon my departure, the key fob did not work. The dealer replaced the battery and the key fob worked correctely until I got home. It falled to function properly after that. I notified the dealership and was told to correct the repair invoces for reimbursement. This was done pn 1/5/2024. Since that time, I have not received any call backs, returned phone calls or the reimbursement that I believe I deserve. All that I want is reimbursement for something that this dealership should have corrected prior to selling this vehicle.Business response

I purchased a 2018 Nissan Rogue on December 15, 2022. I test drove the vehicle and looked over. I found last week that the back hatch door to be all cracked, with the mechanical latch rusted. It would appear that the hatch door was up and it was backed into something. I stopped at the dealer to see if they would fix this. The manager said they knew about this and decided not to put more money in the vehicle. He stated they discounted the car. All Nissan Rogue's in the lot were the same price. If I would have seen this, I would not have bought the car. I did ask a cost to repair/replace this. It came in a little under 1,000. to fix. I do not feel I should pay for this. I will have this car and make payments for the next 6 years. This will only get worse with time and I will have to put this extra expense into the vehicle. If I knew this before, I would have chose a different car. They will do nothing to make this right.Business response

Memorial Highway Chevrolet of Somerset does not have any record of Mr. ***** coming in to our service department to purchase a gas cap or to have his vehicle looked at regarding the RPM's and ticking. If he only came in to inquire about cost for both of those items we are unsure of what it is he is requesting.Initial Complaint

Upon purchasing a $32,000 used vehicle in winter, I went from the dealership to my local tire dealer to purchase winter tires. The tires that were on the vehicle at the time of the purchase were strictly summer tires. No problem. I checked the summer tires that were on it during the purchase and my determination was 6/32 front, 8/32 rear. I just went to put the summer tires back on and was informed the front tires are shot and extremely worn on the inside. Alignment problems was probably the issue. The vehicle had a new inspection sticker, so my assumption was that the vehicle was mechanically sound. Not only was this an issue, but after 2 weeks of purchasing I checked the oil, and it was 2 quarts low. Most vehicles take 6 quarts but this one takes 8. Also, during the purchase I was informed that the trade in value of my car had to be raised $1,000 in order for the financing to go thru. Not being informed that the price of the vehicle was also raised $1,000.Business response

First let me apologize for the delay in Memorial Highway Chevrolet’s response. We have rectified the situation with Mr. ***** and he had assured us that he was calling to remove his complaint.
On April 2, 2022, Mr. ***** was in our service department speaking with a service advisor. I just so happened to be there in the service department that morning and spoke to him personally. He told me about his concern with the 2 tires and we agreed to replace them both for him at our Windber location as it is much closer to his home. He has gotten the tires replaced and I know he is happy with the outcome as I have spoken to him regarding the resolution.
