I purchased a 2016 GMC Sierra pick-up truck from Woy Brothers GMC Buick in 2019. They failed to inform me at the time of sale that this vehicle had been branded for odometer tampering in the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System in 2016. They fraudulently certified that the odometer reading at the time of sale was correct, while knowing the vehicle was branded. I only discovered this vehicle was branded when i attempted to sell it and the buyer researched the vehicle in NMVTIS. The buyers offer dropped from $27,100 to $16,000 because the actual mileage of the vehicle could not be verified. Woy Brothers perpetuated this fraud to PenDot as well by failing to disclose the brandingBusiness response

This unit we sold new to ***** ***** ****. The vehicle was financed so no one saw the title until it was paid off in August 2019 and saw that it had 99999 as miles. We processed everything sending copies of the inspections from the time the vehicle was put in service until that time that the mileage was INCORRECTLY stated on the original title. It was 50 miles. I have the paper work if you need it, but the state corrected it to be 37,480 at that time. I attached a copy of the AutoCheck that is on file at this time, The miles on that truck were the correct miles at the time it was purchased by Mr. ****** ********. We had several the were errors from the state that were about the same time when things were changing to online title processing. You can contach us at ************ or by email. Thank you for your assistance.

July 2022, I found a 2014 Chevy Silverado at W** Bros Buick GMC in Somerset PA. I called the dealership and they said that it was still available and has been serviced. Everything checked out good. I contacted my bank, SPC Credit Union and they asked for a bill of sales. W** Bros mailed the paperwork to SPC and when it arrived, I went into the branch to sign papers. SPC mailed the check to W** Bros and they contacted me when it arrived. I told W** Bros that the 2 vehicle transport teams changed their original quotes and that I would be picking the Silverado up myself. They stated everything was good and driving it back to South Carolina wouldn't be a problem. On August 6, 3 friends and I took the 9 hr drive to Somerset PA in my Yukon. We arrived around 10 am, where the salesman told me that the Silverado had been serviced and ready for the ride back to South Carolina. I asked about a place to get some breakfast. We ate, gased up, and hit the road. We just made it to West Virginia when the engine light came on and the instrumental panel said Idle Engine, Transmission Hot. We pulled over for about 5 minutes and when we tries moving again, the transmission started slipping. We waited for another 5-10 minutes and was able to get the Silverado off the side of the road. By that time W** Bros was closed, they closed at 12 pm on Saturdays. We were able to get the Silverado to South Carolina. I called the dealership the following week, but I had to talk to Dave, that's who sold me the Silverado, and he was on vacation. I talked to Dave on the day he returned to work and he said there's nothing he could do for me. I called back the next day and told them about the Pennsylvania Consumer Law, if a issue arrives on the way home from the dealer, they could be held responsible for fixing. They said let's fix the issues and then a day later went back to not helping me, not even letting me returned the Silverado. Pennsylvania has a policy of 3 day return and they won't honor it.Business response
