On September 9, 2015, BBB started receiving complaints that alleges company representatives are using unethical sales tactics to get consumers to purchase computer services and software that they don’t want or feel that they need.  In addition, consumers have alleged that their computers have become infected with viruses and that they received pop-ups requesting they call a phone # that refers them to a Techginee phone # eventually. Consumers have alleged that they have paid $1,500 per a 3 yr plan, and when consumers have refused to pay more money for additional services their computers were locked so that they became unusable by the consumers.  BBB understands that many consumers are not tech saavy and may be confused which company(s) they have spoken to with very similar names to Techingee. Although BBB takes these allegations very seriously, we don’t currently have the concrete evidence needed to determine Techginee’s part (if any) in these unethical practices.

On May 22, 2017, BBB requested background information from the business including any applicable licensing or registration in all states/countries company operates, a description of their services, names of all principals involved in the company and their three year work history, complete list of addresses and phone numbers for all locations of operation as well as any other DBAs used by the company, all literature, sales brochures and sample contracts for its products and services, fee structure as well as their business model. As of June 2, 2017, the business failed to respond to BBB's requested information.  As a result the BBB does not have a clear understanding of the business.

BBB reviewed their complaints and interviewed consumers who provided invoices & other supporting documents as part of our investigation. According to the Pennsylvania Department of State TechGinee USA, LLC's prior name was Sanito Trade, LLC.  Per their website the company’s main address is: 544 Brittany Drive, State College, PA 16803 and phone # 1-866-233-0480.  Mail has been returned from this location. Research shows the company advertises a second location at: 3rd Floor, Vardhman Arihant Bhawan, KP Block, Pitampura, Delhi 110034 India.

Refund and Exchange Policy
  • Refunds may be granted up to 7 days from purchase

    Tech Ginee provide "partial refunds" to Customers up to 7 days from the day of purchase on certain circumstances, after mutually agreed with customer. Tech Ginee provides a transparent online resolution procedure for settling disputes and make alternative suggestions for resolving such requests. 

    Note: For refund, Customers have to provide a valid reason for claiming a refund.
    If Customer purchased a Single Incidenrt Support Plan, than refunds are granted till 24 hours from the time of purcahse, after 24 hours of purchase Tech Ginee will normally decline to grant any refund, except in special circumstances.
    Between 7 – 30 days after date of purchase

    After the first 7 days have elapsed, a refund request will normally not be accepted unless there are convincing reasons justifying a refund..

    During this period, Tech Ginee will usually require a Customer to provide a satisfactory explanation as to why a refund is merited and why the request was not made earlier. 

    Tech Ginee may still consider the validity of refund claims up to a period of 40 days from the date of purchase and may issue a partial refund at its absolute discretion.

    After 30 days purchase is deemed to be final

    After a period of more than 30 days since the date of purchase, the transaction will be regarded as final. Tech Ginee will normally decline to grant a refund, except in special circumstances.

    Subscriptions and recurring charges

    Ongoing subscriptions and recurring charges may be cancelled at any time. The cancellation will take place as from the next period of billing. A cancellation will only cancel future billings.

    The above time periods relating to refunds will also apply in respect to each subscription or recurring charge payment.

    Overriding terms

    For products and services sold through Tech Ginee , this refund policy will normally override any statements to the contrary contained on a product or service provider’s web site or terms and conditions of sale.

    A refund can only be credited to the original account from which payment was made. If such account is closed, then no refund can be granted.

    Tech Ginee may take steps to restrict customers that make repeated purchases and requests for refunds from making further purchases through Tech Ginee.

    Dispute resolution procedures

    The Tech Ginee dispute system is designed to help both vendors and customers resolve disputes in a polite and amicable manner. Failure or delay in dealing with dispute processes may result in the matter being decided by Tech Ginee .

    Other reasons for cancellation
    Tech Ginee reserves the right to cancel a transaction in order to comply with credit card industry regulations, payment processor and banking rules, or the need to comply with legal requirements, intellectual property rights, court orders and law enforcement agencies.

    Refunds may also take place as a result of a processing error, technical problem, chargeback, threat of chargeback or any fraudulent transaction or situation which Tech Ginee reasonably considers to be potentially fraudulent, unlawful, or in breach of Tech Ginee ’ prohibited items & DCMA policy or privacy policy.

    Agreement to these terms

    Use of the Tech Ginee platform to purchase or sell items requires your agreement to our Refund Policy. This policy may be updated from time to time, so you should check back regularly.
