After a recommendation from a friend, Dennis Brown was referred to me for a state to state moving job. I spoke with the gentleman, found him to be knowledgeable and aware of my concerns. The problem is not in the pricing but in the process, Mr Brown used his covered flatbed truck and hauler to repack, conceal and remove my items from my possession. Almost all bags and boxes were opened, repacked totally differently (some contents no longer being there) and then repackaged. When I first contacted Mr Brown, it was regarding the repacking of my belongings, it wasn’t simply one or two boxes, not that boxes or bags don’t break or are not done to a mover’s specifications - it was as a professional, I felt Mr Brown would have let me know immediately, the same way he collected his payment, that an issue had occurred. He responded he wasn’t aware of anything like that happening, so he not have said anything to me. The next day upon searching for items that were of specific value to me, jewelry, collectibles, brand new items…I found them missing. The second call resulted again in Mr Brown’s denial, but once again no professional response… NO “send me a list, can I view the boxes, even a show of good faith 10%”refunded. What he did say before hanging up on me was “open every box” If he did not know what I was talking about or recall the need to repackage boxes what difference would that make. What was taken from inside the box is still missing and now lost to me forever, whether it was a hoarders junk or a million dollar treasure. Mr Dennis Brown was paid fairly and generously for the work he did, I and my possessions should have been afforded the same.
