Yesterday 02/07/2022 at approximately 3 PM, I went into my financial institution (Sayre, PA Location) and deposited two checks made out to my spouse and I for the sale of real estate. I deposited these checks into a joint checking account with both of our names on them. I think asked to make a withdraw in my name only, due to the amount of money I asked to withdraw it required the managers signature. He then began treating me like a criminal, demanding to know what I was doing with my money, keep in mind I was not borrowing money from the bank I was asking for my own money. He then demanded information regarding my other financial institutions, and also began asking questions about my marriage. He insinuated that I was stealing from my wife. My wife and I run a business together and we are always both aware of all financials dealings. After 25 minutes of standing, waiting, be treated like a criminal he finally agrees to call my wife, where she notified him that everything was above board. My wife and I have both individually withdrawn money from this joint account in the past and have never been asked to provide proof that the other was aware or needed consent. I was treated poorly by Thomas H********* and there was no reason for this. His questioning about my marriage and other financial institutions are none of his business, but he essentially held my money (yes my money) hostage until after his interrogation was over. I have never been so poorly treated by someone I have chose to do business with in my life. I am demanding answers as I know what happened yesterday is not bank policy. I am also asking for a personal apology from Mr. H*********.
