On 30 April 2022 I purchased a 2014 **** *** from carsindex in Warminster PA. The deal was that the taxes title and fees would be financed in the loan. The original loan amount was $1,000 to much to get the payments where they need to be. We settled that and got the payments corrected. However, when I attempted to get the vehicle legal, it was discovered that the taxes were not calculated correctly. Carsindex applied a tax credit that was not authorized for the sale. Do to this miscalculation, they did not collect enough from the bank to cover the taxes. They claim the remainder of the taxes are my responsibility since they didn't charge me for them. I am unable to pay $900 in taxes. ALL taxes were to be put into the loan and I feel they specifically gave me the unauthorized credit in order to lower my payments enough for me to make the deal. I feel this way because I already told them I'd walk away when the price was $1000 to much. The bottom line is, the deal was for all taxes to be paid and they only paid half, to make the deal, but did not tell me they were only paying half. I can not afford to pay the extra $900 and I can't get a loan for that amount. Had I known this was the deal, I would not have signed. I thought I was getting everything taken care of but the registration. I feel mislead. If it was a mistake, it was their mistake and I don't feel I should have to pay to correct it. If I have to pay to correct the issue, it will cause extreme financial hardship, if I can even find a way to make it work. I feel carsindex is responsible for properly filing out the paperwork. They applied a credit a was not authorized. They should know what credits are authorized or be held responsible for applying the wrong ones. I have no way of knowing what credits are applied or applicable, they do.
