I recently purchased several lots from an auction they had in August that was for a deceased family friend. I was unable to pick up the items at the scheduled time, and an agreement was made with the auctioneers and the family that the items could be picked up at a later date. Last week, they were notified that we would come to pick the items up that Saturday 9/16. Multiple attempts to contact them were made to verify that they knew we were coming and to have the lots set aside for us when we arrived. They had confirmed all of this and we assumed everything was set. We arrive, only to find the incorrect lots were set aside, and my lots were in fact, shipped off to someone else entirely. The auction house said they’d refund my card and attempt to contact the recipient of my items and get them back. I called back on 9/22 for an update, they said they called once or twice with no response, but said they’d try again. I called again on 9/26 and 9/27 with no response from the business. My card has already been refunded, but I personally do not feel that this is an appropriate resolution to this issue. I would like the items I’d purchased from the auction successfully returned to me, that were mistakenly shipped out by the auction to someone else completely. I would not want this to happen to someone else, only for them to experience the same mismanagement I have. I’m willing to pick the items up myself from the wrong recipient, if it is a matter of them not wanting to deal with the hassle of shipping them back.Initial Complaint

On May 4, 2022 i was awarded a bid by C and C auctioneers. it was a big tex dump trailer *** ***** listed through auction time. I paid, in full, for the item as they requested and picked the item up as directed on May 10. I was told i would have the title upon picking up the trailer. I called C and C that i had hooked up to the trailer and requested the title. I was told no one was at the pick up site and to use their tag and they would priority mail the title to me. The pick up address was ***** ******* ******* ***** ** ******** ********* i called C and C on 5/13 and left a message that there was no title received yet. They never responded. I called again on 5/16 and they did respond back and said they would call about the title. On 5/17 I called C and C again to see if there was any information on the where abouts of the title. no answer so I left a message. I have the trailer and their license plate is in my possession and I am a bit nervous that the seller could say that the trailer was stolen and I will be out 4200.00 for the trailer and face theft charges. C and C put me in a vulnerable position. I have auction paperwork for the sale, hoping that will keep me free of possible charges but it should also be noted that the trailer was auctioned off as a 2015 and have found out that the trailer is a 2014. I was advised to file against C and C but am trying to be patient and Im sure he is as tired of me as I am of them. I had a bad feeling about an online auction and I should have followed my gut feeling. As of 5/17 i just want the title to the trailer.Business response

We have spoke to *** ****** and have explained that the owner is looking for this title as he is in possession. We did not advertise this trailer as to having or not having a title. C and C is working with the previous owner to get this issue resolved as quick as possible.
